After the death of her husband Ben, Lou moves to the small town of Button and becomes the new owner of Button Books. Lou hopes for a quieter, slow paced life. Unfortunately, her peace is disrupted by the appearance of a mysterious man who comes into her bookstore and is discovered dead in her back alley the next morning.

This is a wonderful first book in Eryn Scott's new Whiskers and Words Mystery Series. I loved the descriptions and the dialogue. The small picturesque town setting and it's residents was beautifully introduced and described. This is a great new series. I can't wait for the next one.
