I love this series and I’m so glad the authors decided to continue it. In this book there’s a kinky new bestseller that is shrouded in mystery. The resident ghost, Jack Shepard, always has a mystery from his own time that parallels the mystery in current time. I love how Jack and Pen are growing close, though they seem to have backed off a bit from the steaminess of the last book. Things also seem to be closer to boiling over in terms of the city council and the pressure they’re putting on the local businesses. I listened to part of this as audiobook and the narrator does a fantastic job with the dialogue and accents. I only have two books left but I can easily see myself rereading these at some point.
