(B) 73% | More than Satisfactory
Notes: A one-note chore, just blood and gore, the art's all twisty trash, monologues are wordy slogs, a big amorphous mash.
*Progress updates: Preamble â— Issues #135-137 â— Issues #138-140

Notes:
(1) Enough delaying the inevitable, time to get back to Spawn before this buddy-read stretches into year two.
- Granted, several people tapped out after just Volume 1, so I always have that out, but I'm a completist and must finish what I start!
(2) It's been quite a while since the last one, so I've got to at least skim the last few issues to figure out what's what."

Notes:
(1) So far, this has consisted of one-note issue-long sequences of gory violence.
- We get a whole issue of Spawn being tortured, then a whole issue of Spawn being beat up, and then a whole issue of chaos in the streets.
- This might be fine if the art were any good. Unfortunately, it's more of the same slop you have to waste time figuring out what you're looking at."

Notes:
(1) Nat Jones brings in a totally different art style. Nothing spectacular, but after so long starving for competent art, it's a breath of fresh air (ironic, as he only illustrates hell).
- Also ironic how hell stops the hellish art.
(2) The last two issues are narrated by Nyx. It's over-the-top lyricism.
- Not all goth types need to monologue like teen angst poetry."
