I finished it! I thought I wouldn't be able to but I did it!


Before reading Shatter Me, I've read, seen, watched a lot of positive reviews about the trilogy. There were so many of them that I felt like I was missing out on good stuff. Especially Warner, he was popular and I wanted to know him, I wanted to know what the hype was about. So I add it to my tbr pile and for so long, I just stare at it, wondering what is it about.

Fortunately, I finally forced myself to read it. I had high expectations and I knew it was dangerous to have them before reading a book but I thought that maybe it would turn out to be amazing. Well, I didn't except to get these instead it kinda surprised me that it wasn't as great as I thought it would be. It also took me longer to get through it than I initially thought, the writing style wasn't for me. I think it was because of these, I easily got annoyed when there was too much of it.

Hmmm, the characters. In some ways in the book, I understand and relate to Juliette. Most of the time though, it was just meh? She was okay. She wasn't the worst but that means she's not the best either. The insta-love between her and Adam didn't make it any better for me. Atleast 20% of the book was just them complimenting each other, it made me cringe sometimes. Adam was okay too, it could've been worse but I'm so glad he turned out to be fine. Warner though, wow he was unbelievable. I agree with Juliette, he was insane and he was good at it. Half the time, I hate him. The other half, I'm intrigued. There's just something about him that's so creepy that I want to find out.

So it is sad that it didn't turn out that well for me but some of my friends here in goodreads has told me that it gets better! And I wanna find out if it does! There's a chance that I will read the other books and novellas. For now, I need to find another book.
