it was amazing

Finding My Name marks the debut of a series of romances following a whole delicious mixbag of adopted siblings (hi, I'm excited for Ella's story soon, please and thank you) and I solidly think there's going to be something for everyone! Sally's story is a gorgeous read: it's found family and hidden secrets; it's dealing with trauma, fear and transphobia AND it's summer crushes and beach parties. Ollie is a beautiful love interest and watching him demonstrate respecting boundaries as a love language was a joy. Also? The sex is super hot and well written! The Reed family are gorgeous and I loved the queer mama rep in their adoptive parents; it made me kinda teary!

Ultimately this is a story about feeling lost and found again and I'm so grateful I got to read it early. It's so exciting when you get to jump onto a series at the very beginning and wait impatiently for the whole lot!
