Indeed!
That ending took me by surprise. I finished last name at 2am and was up pacing till 4am, quite thoroughly disturbed with an existential crisis (thanks, Mr. King! 😩). A horror novel hasn’t wrecked me like this since Pet Cemetary. I did get a little bored during Act II, but the ending redeemed that lull.
