Trouble Brewing in Harrogate (DI Adams, #2)
by
by

This second installment in the DI Adams series has all the wit, humour and utter chaos that are Ms Watt's hallmarks. There's also an abundance idylic of Yorkshire scenery and it's associated manure, normal people developing strange 'superpowers', many cups of coffee (some of which mysteriously vanish), an invisible dog (possibly linked to the vanishing coffee), and one DI gaining an unwanted reputation for handling the cases that seem a little 'off'. When free samples of a new beer are delivered to Yorkshire notables ahead of a beer festival, strange things start happening and it falls to DIs Adams and Collins to investigate and put a stop to the dsatardly scheme before it's too late. Along the way they are helped (and hindered) by friends old and new, cause a few explosions, discover if they can run faster than a bull, and in a tumultus and hilarious climax save the day.
