Autumn (Seasonal, #1)

I’m not a big fan of surrealism, and the puns gave me secondhand embarrassment. The many scenes of people standing in line to talk to obstinate bureaucrats felt heavy handed. The relationship between the two main characters was interesting though.
This book is touted as a book you read for language rather than plot, but the language really wasn’t very striking to me. If you want to be wowed by language and imagery, try Pond by Claire-Louise Bennett.
Honestly it didn’t give me strong autumn vibes. That cover though! *heart eyes*
