** spoiler alert ** This was a very beautiful story. The author has created a lovely world and I love her idea of ‘Graced� people. It’s so unique. This was a great book, full of adventure, action and romance. It was interesting all the way through. The characters were colourful and entertaining and the lead Kasta was strong and brave.
I enjoyed the romance between Kasta and Po, although I will admit that it wasn’t your average romance where the two people involved are dedicated to each other, with a nothing else matters feeling. Their relationship was complicated in the way that Kasta admitted that she could never marry Po and be that 100% committed to him. I understood why making that promise to him would have changed her, but I also felt that perhaps it might not have if she didn’t let it.
I will say that Po going blind shocked me. I totally wasn’t expecting it and I was sad to see how devastated he was at first. But I was happy that he learned to adapt to it.
Still, I enjoyed the plot and the journey the characters went on and I was happy at the end of the book.
