✿C✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments Hiya! Another mad day in the lab!!

Does anybody have any ideas for the August challenge? I've got a few ideas forming but it would be good if there's anything you would particularly like to do. If you have an idea, post it here and I'll add mine when they're fully formed!! :)

message 908: by ✿C (new)

✿C✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments I've just updated the posts in the sister group with some of the books that will either fit in somewhere specifically or only into one slot.

And I've done puzzles #41 and 46 - will do the doublets and spot the difference tomorrow unless anyone else wants to do it :)

Claire, do you know or have a preference where they will fit in?

I know Oo also read The Rosie Project so it could be used for Something borrowed but I think you have most of that covered, don't you?

Cathie (catitude) | 999 comments Sorry, I've been on a reading frenzy and haven't had any time at all to go look at games or the spreadsheet cupcakes.

At least I'm contributing bookwise a bit. (Hangs head in shame and runs back to her book)

You FINISHED!

message 921: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments I just started. I loaded the new OverDrive app on my iPod/Touch and can't figure out how to load the book... so I just did it the "old fashioned" way - before the app.

message 922: by ShoSho (new)

ShoSho (shoshost) | 446 comments Yesss , just now! you haven't started yet?

I use overdrive on my computer, after downloading the book to my overdrive software , I connect my iPod and open iTune software and then click on transfer in overdrive.

message 925: by ShoSho (new)

ShoSho (shoshost) | 446 comments but overdrive have soooo many problems , both the version I use on my computer and the one I use on may tablet!

ShoSho (shoshost) | 446 comments Lisa Kay wrote: "I just started."

We are having a real good buddy read !

message 927: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments That is the "old" way I had to do it, ShoSho (Comment #935). I've only been able to used the new app on one book, so far. I think it depends on what type of audiobook format I'm downloading. Before this, doing it the "old" way, I didn't have any problems. Not liking the new app, though.

Yes, the BR looks good, that is why I want to catch up!

I must do that, thanks! The app is driving me nuts! (I usually use BorrowBox which is much better, but the library also has Overdrive so I decided to try it)

message 929: by ✿C (last edited Jun 13, 2013 12:46AM) (new)

✿C✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments Wow!! Lots of messages while I slept!! :)

ShoSho, the Sunday update bonus cupcake is for if everything is correct and updated before they start checking the totals for the Sunday/Monday update. Unfortunately, last Sunday I broke my run of getting it all right because a friend came over for dinner and was here til well after midnight! I'm sorry :(

I'll add the other books to the list later on today. Don't worry about the other teams finishing, we've got plenty of time :) - Remember the hare and the tortoise :)

Cathie (catitude) | 999 comments I have my secrets ;-)

message 936: by Cathie (new)

Cathie (catitude) | 999 comments Its almost 5pm Thursday here.

I've been busy over the last 3 days with an Arts and Crafts book required for the Toppler. The Complete Guide to Stamping by Alan D. Gear . 176 pages and lots of great info on techniques.

My review (with results) here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Now I can fully get back to reading (I also have to upload a music video of me doing something musically ~ so laughing at this one ~ and upload a bunch of photos for a scavenger hunt...all of which takes me away from READING!!!! Hello! ~ this is GooodREADS, not show up what you suck at, lol)

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 450 comments Sorry I've been missing. We were at Hubs's place and came to Louisiana to visit Mom and I ended up getting a job! I'll be teaching 6th grade ELA and social studies :) I'm so excited! Now, I've got to go home and pack up my stuff and Harley and Mallory's stuff so we can move LOL

I just finished another green book Protecting What's His (Line of Duty, #1) by Tessa Bailey . I think I'll look for something blue next :)

Thank you. :)

I have to admit, I believe the balloon pic was pinned from one of the other threads on NBRC but I can't remember which one.

It's on the next estate to the one I didn't get to view as well :) And I've been getting to pick my own furniture this time!!

Just an advance warning, I'm moving at the end of the month and I'm not sure when my internet will start so I may not be on here as much as I normally am. (Which may not be a bad thing as I'll be writing up my thesis too!) :)

message 943: by Susan (susayq ~) (new)

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 450 comments Thank you ladies! School starts for the children August 9, but teachers starts August 5. I also have a couple of professional development workshops I'll have to do this summer :)

Congrats on the new flat, Claire!

message 945: by Cathie (new)

Cathie (catitude) | 999 comments I finished up Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke and Here Be Yaks Travels In Far West Tibet by Manosi Lahiri today.

I'm outta here for awhile :-)

message 946: by ✿C (new)

✿C✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments Hiya. I want to get a general consensus. We have enough books to finish at least one, if not two categories. Are you happy for me to just fill what categories I can and then see where the rest of the gaps are? If so, I'll do that Sunday - it's time for bed now and I'm working at both my jobs tomorrow so I won't be on the internet :)

message 947: by ✿C (new)

✿C✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments Just an update - in the sister group at the moment, I've got....

5 books for behind enemy lines
4 placed in colour ahead
2 placed in colour behind (I'm putting lighter blues here and bolder blues in colour ahead)
1 in BOTM/BR
2 in spell it out (I've only put the ones that won't go elsewhere in there for the moment)
4 in may R-a-T challenge
None yet in 7 because again, it's a fairly 'easy' one to fill by the looks of our books
