Yup.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments You have until the 20th.

✿C±ô²¹¾±°ù±ð✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments Thank you :)

✿C±ô²¹¾±°ù±ð✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments I've set up a thread in the sister group for the September Challenge, happy September :)

message 1405: by Cathie (new)

Cathie (catitude) | 999 comments Thanks Claire. Do we need to set up a separate shelf for this challenge?

(I finished Mudbound Mudbound by Hillary Jordan yesterday. Definitely a 5 star book. My review is here http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...)

✿C±ô²¹¾±°ù±ð✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments No, it's fine, if you can just do what you've done for the other challenges and let me know if something fits specifically, I'll post all the categories for the challenges in the thread later on too :) Unless you really want to set up an extra shelf :) I might start a spreadsheet, I'll see how it goes.

Cathie (catitude) | 999 comments Another book I finished in late August was Flight Behavior Flight Behavior by Barbara Kingsolver

You might really enjoy this read Claire; it's about climate change, environmental science and the migration of butterflies north. Lots of scientific references and writings; I loved it. My thoughts on it are here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Definitely another favorite read of 2013 and something different :-)

message 1408: by Cathie (new)

Cathie (catitude) | 999 comments I've added a reserved box in the thread so I can post my books for the Sept challenge there; hope that's ok?

✿C±ô²¹¾±°ù±ð✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments That's fine, it'll make it easy for me to find them :)

✿C±ô²¹¾±°ù±ð✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments Oooh, I'll add it to my to-read list, thanks Cathie.

Yeah, it helps me to keep things straight too so I'm not taxing you with trying to remember what I'm suppose to read, lol. (One less pain in your butt, bolol)

Ok I am lost....I am helping in a September Challenge here of some kind but not sure what I am supposed to be doing :( LOL

ETA: I am slowly but surely figuring this out LOL I am on vacation right now so my mind is having trouble focusing on books and challenges LOL I found the September Take Over Challenge and I don't think very many of my September books that I already have planned for the month are going to fit into that one :( It looks like only one maybe two. I didn't sign up to do that challenge but if I had of it would have helped. Sorry. But if I see one that is going to fit I will definitely let you know!!!!!

✿C±ô²¹¾±°ù±ð✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments Robin, as a team we only have to have one book fit into the a-z or the takeover challenge but 1/3 of the books have to go in the 'book a day' one, the rest can go into whichever one they fit.

Kme_17 | 453 comments just finished Mirror, Mirror Off the Wall How I Learned to Love My Body by Not Looking at It for a Year by Kjerstin Gruys very interesting read

message 1415: by Cathie (new)

Cathie (catitude) | 999 comments So I finished The Drawing of the Three (The Dark Tower, #2) by Stephen King Stephen King's 2nd book in the Dark Tower series yesterday (Sept 1), but I started it Aug. 29th. I know it counts for our overall book count, but I'm guessing it doesn't count as a Sept challenge book because I started it in August ~ is this correct?

Phyllis... Does Heart of a Lion by Gilbert Morris feature the Ark?"

Yes it does, the building plus the flood (so when it was actually being used).

Phyllis | 186 comments There has been so much going on in my life this month that I haven't kept up with posting. My Sweetheart of 56+ years was in a horrible car accident and broke his face on the 3rd. It has been a complete nightmare. Can I just list the books for you? I know that I read about 16. I like participating and love to read, but right now my mind can't seem to wrap around the above instructions enough to understand them. Thanks.

✿C±ô²¹¾±°ù±ð✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments Oh no Phyllis, I'm so sorry to hear that, I hope he's on the mend and gets better soon.

That's fine, I got all the books we needed for August and you don't need to take part in the September challenge so you can just read as much or as little as you want and any books you want to. Are you happy with that?

Thinking of you from across the pond :)

✿C±ô²¹¾±°ù±ð✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments I hope you don't mind, I've put the 'professions' A-Z down for now as I've got a book that fits well into that (an interesting profession). If anybody wants to change it, let me know and we can choose another one! :)

LOL yeah I can see you eating crow later....we always think these challenges look easy until we start doing them :) I read a lot of YA and they don't always have a profession in them. :(

Robin (Saturndoo) (robinsaturndoo) | 1330 comments Ok here is my first book for the September Challenge and this is where I could find that it fits :)

LOL Cathie!

I've decided to to do the "Book a Day Keeps the Boredom at Bay" challenge starting in the new year as I'm *sure* that would be easy to do in a year. Maybe I should look at it a bit more closely...lol

message 1438: by Cathie (new)

Cathie (catitude) | 999 comments What we think can kill us Karen, lol!! My mind is a dangerous territory!

✿C±ô²¹¾±°ù±ð✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments Thanks Robin - got that one down, and your first one Cathie :)

You really didn't like Peter Pan did you Robin? lol, I've only read the abridged versions, I've not got around to the unabridged one yet! :)

✿C±ô²¹¾±°ù±ð✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments Cathie, I've put The Drawing of the Three under the category 'character called Jack', let me know if I've misread the blurb and there isn't a character called Jack!!

✿C±ô²¹¾±°ù±ð✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments I seem to have missed a lot last night!

I went to first aid training after work, normally two hours but I don't think it was even an hour long last night. As I was heading back to catch up on some TV, I got a couple of texts off friends at the ambulance station round the corner from me asking if I wanted to go round for pizza. So I decided to go round for an hour for a cuppa and a chat. About an hour and a half later I decided I probably should go home!!

At least it's not as bad as last Friday when I went round at about 20 to 7 to find out when I was working the next day, a five minute job, a couple of cups of tea and an ambulance transfer later, I left at 10! I was back about 10 hours later for my shift!!

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Oh, Claire... ugh!

message 1443: by Cathie (new)

Cathie (catitude) | 999 comments I guess it could fit in under Jack, Claire. I was thinking of a different category, but if it fits there.

✿C±ô²¹¾±°ù±ð✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments Oh, what category were you thinking? I'll happily move it but I was just sort of going off the blurb on GR! :)

message 1445: by Cathie (new)

Cathie (catitude) | 999 comments No, actually don't Claire, lol. I can fill the other challenges anytime and Lisa Kay's challenge is only for September so it's a good fit. He is not the main character, but Death is called Jack, so it fits perfectly :-). I bow to your wisdom, lol!

✿C±ô²¹¾±°ù±ð✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments Haha, well let me know if you change your mind lol. :)

Cool Text: Logo and Graphics Generator

We've had the addition of a few new Teams,
Who are also sharing our TTRC dreams.

It only seems fair they should get a chance,
at all those puzzles that hold you, as well as entrance.

But I don't want to leave you out of the fun,
so you'll get an opportunity, too, at those NOT done.

I'll give extra hours to Banana Mania, Forest Green, and Pewter & Cadet Blue,
who also has a lot of members who are new, too.

Still, all the rest of you are granted forty-eight.
“Rev Your Engines! to get a running start at the gate.

I've given you some important links below.
Remember, there are more links in Post #1, to the puzzles, you know?

Okay, 48 hours to you, and 72 hours for the Teams that are new.
I'm excited! Let me see how many cupcakes you can accrue.

Oh! By the way, your time starts now!
Stop reading this and get working. Holy Cow!

Here is where to post!

- All Puzzles & Cupcakes since the beginning of Round II. Make-up Cupcakes will be put here, until we can transfer them to the individual months. Links to puzzles are also at the top of each column on the spreadsheet.

Phyllis | 186 comments I really appreciate all of your comments and prayers. It makes me feel better and I'm sure the prayers help him. He goes to his primary care doctor today and to have blood drawn to check his sodium. I am sure it is still low but hopefully not critically. You don't get a lot of sodium in liquids. We both slept well for a change last night and that is plus. Thanks again.

message 1449: by Cathie (new)

Cathie (catitude) | 999 comments Phyllis, so glad you both slept well finally. What a tiring ordeal this must be for you both.

Could he drink heated canned soups through a straw? They are very high in sodium...just a thought.

He's in my prayers every day, as are you.

(Wouldn't it be wonderful if you could both just lay down and cuddle until all of this was through)

((hugs))
