This topic is open for discussion of The Kill Order by James Dashner. Be prepared for SPOILERS.

Book Synopsis:
The prequel to the New York Times bestselling Maze Runner series.

Before WICKED was formed, before the Glade was built, before Thomas entered the Maze, sun flares hit the earth and mankind fell to disease.

Mark and Trina were there when it happened, and they survived. But surviving the sun flares was easy compared to what came next. Now a disease of rage and lunacy races across the eastern United States, and there’s something suspicious about its origin. Worse yet, it’s mutating, and all evidence suggests that it will bring humanity to its knees.

Mark and Trina are convinced there’s a way to save those left living from descending into madness. And they’re determined to find it—if they can stay alive. Because in this new, devastated world, every life has a price. And to some, you’re worth more dead than alive

Lisarenee | 7659 comments Let me know who'd be interested in reading this one and we'll set up a date.

Cathie (catitude) | 999 comments I'd be interested Lisarenee. It's on my TBR shelf :-). I'm wondering though, are you talking about this for November?

message 6: by Lisarenee (new)

Lisarenee | 7659 comments Whenever I have at least one other person to read it I'll be ready. I'm guessing that may very well be a November start date. I'm going to send out a broadcast message soon to see if anyone else is interested in reading it buddy style. I've been swamped with things lately so haven't gotten to it yet. My son has been home sick this week so I haven't had much time for anything.

Cathie (catitude) | 999 comments November (Or the end of October) works best for me; I still have 6! books left to read, already committed to for this month. It's been a crazy month. I definitely want to read this one! Now the world needs to cooperate, lol.

message 8: by Jex (new) - rated it 3 stars

Jex (jexball) | 2227 comments Any word on if this is best to read before or after the series? I've read The Maze Runner, but not the rest.

Lisarenee | 7659 comments After reading the series. I'd call it a prequel sequel. In other words it's a prequel that should be read in the sequence it was written. Too many spoilers in it and half the fun is not knowing completely what is happened before.

Jex (jexball) | 2227 comments Got ya. Thanks.

Erika | 22 comments I read it, and it was not what I was expecting. I'm disappointed.

But it has a lot of action, though... Too much, perhaps.
