These books are heading up the charts. Could any of them be next years Caldecott?

Amanda (misslibrarian) | 4 comments Bear Has a Story to Tell - The way Erin Stead depicts the fall leaves and trees is my favorite part of this book. Not sure how I feel about reorienting the book when reading the page where mole is already sleeping, so for me this one takes second place to And Then It's Spring.

This Is Not My Hat - clever, yes, and very reminiscient of last year's I Want My Hat Back. For that reason, I'd much rather see one of Klassen's other books be recognized this year. Particularly Extra Yarn (despite upside-down depictions of knitting).

Paula I throughly enjoyed This is Not my Hat, More, and Bear Has a Story to Tell. The illustrations carry the story and are beautifully done, but still like And Then It's Spring first.

Holly Mueller (hollymueller) | 9 comments I loved all these books. The Steads have 3 amazing books out in 2012 - all of them great - and then it's spring, Bear Has a Story to Tell, and A Home for Bird. Surely one will win something!! I thought the illustrations in More were beautiful, and I like the theme. This is Not My Hat is my favorite! Klassen is surely going to win something too with Extra Yarn, this one, and House Held Up By Trees all 2012 books!
