Kara (karaayako) | 3984 comments Can you believe we're almost at the end of the year? It's time to buckle down on reading to reach those yearly goals! To that end, our December theme is ANYTHING GOES. Nominate any book in any genre, and we'll vote as a group to pick what we read in December.

Please nominate only one book. You can second someone else's nomination, but that will count as your own.

This thread will close on November 12th. Ten books will be chosen for the poll. If more than ten books are nominated, we'll choose the ten most nominated. If there is a tie to get into the top ten, we'll go by their Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ average rating.

Candiss (tantara) | 996 comments As I've had it at home for over 5 years and still never read it, and I want to read it before I allow myself to see the recent film adaptation, I'll nominate Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell.

I've seen a lot of people adding it to their to-read shelves and lists lately, so I thought it was feasible that there are a number of members in this group among those wanting to read it soon.

I'm nominating the unabridged version of The Hobbit. Never actually read the full version and now with the movie coming to theaters, I would like to explore its origins!
