Jonetta (ejaygirl) Let us know of any books that you would highly recommend to others and why! It would be helpful if you provide the link to the book and indicate the genre (historical romance, urban fantasy, contemporary romance, etc.).

Jonetta (ejaygirl) If you like a great Highlanders story that's strongly combined with historical fiction, I recommend you check out the Monica McCarty Highland Guards series. The heroes are to die for, the action is incredible and the romance is steamy.

The first book in the series is The Chief The Chief (Highland Guard, #1) by Monica McCarty . Here's my review.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) Noni Fro, I read SO many series, too, and am trying to mix in some more standalone books. Thanks for the list.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) Ark, that's a great and varied list. Can you share something about The Color Guards?

Jonetta (ejaygirl) I just signed up for a new series after reading the first book, Death at La Fenice by Donna Leon. It's a mystery set in Venice, Italy and the series name is that of the police detective, Commissario Guido Brunetti.

Here's the link to my review.
