Hey, Jill. Are You There God.. was actually written in 1970 (though goodness knows *I* read it 90 zillion times in the 90s!). Would you like to nominate something else?

Non-Themed: The Kidnapping of Christina Lattimore by Joan Lowery Nixon

Such a great book, almost worth another read!

I noticed that it counted 'a' as the first word too. Weird!
We have our winners!
Our themed book is The Giver by Lois Lowry.
Our regular book is Every Day by David Levithan.
Enjoy!

I haven't read The Giver since college, so I'll reread it. I find it hard to believe we haven't read that one before as a group read.

Our theme for December is from the 1990s! You may nominate 2 Young Adult books, one that is themed- written in the 1990s, and one that is not. Please label your books as themed and non-themed. Nominations will run for about a week.
Don't forget to check the group's bookshelf for books we've already read. http://www.goodreads.com/group/booksh...
Please include authors' names when nominating. Authors may not nominate their own books!
Thanks!
