The year is just flying! It's time to nominate some books for December's group reads!
If you haven't done this before, our rules can be found here: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/2.... If you have questions, please ask.

Our theme for December is from the 1990s! You may nominate 2 Young Adult books, one that is themed- written in the 1990s, and one that is not. Please label your books as themed and non-themed. Nominations will run for about a week.

Don't forget to check the group's bookshelf for books we've already read. http://www.goodreads.com/group/booksh...

Please include authors' names when nominating. Authors may not nominate their own books!

Thanks!

Hi Sam. We've read The Future of Us. Feel free to revive the old thread if you like: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/7...

Would you like to nominate something else?

Angela Sunshine (angelasunshine) We've read Speak already... I see it's on the polls, but it was back in February 2010.

Aw crud. Thanks for picking it up, Angela, I will remove it from the poll.

message 20: by Brandi (new)

Brandi (librandian) | 206 comments It's not on the bookshelf. Can someone add it please?

message 21: by Angela Sunshine (new)

Angela Sunshine (angelasunshine) It was on the bookshelf, just on the 2nd page. I checked because I thought I remembered reading it, so I sorted the bookshelf by alphabetical order and there it was.
Such a great book, almost worth another read!

message 22: by Brandi (new)

Brandi (librandian) | 206 comments I did sort it alphabetically, but as I just looked back at it, I have discovered my problem. Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ count 'the' as the first word. I wasn't looking in the right place. Now I know for next time!

I noticed that it counted 'a' as the first word too. Weird!

Kellee Moye (kelleemoye) Yay yay!!!!

message 26: by Angela Sunshine (new)

Angela Sunshine (angelasunshine) Man, I love the Giver. I'm not a re-reader anymore (too many new ones to read!) but I may have to make an exception...

I haven't read The Giver since college, so I'll reread it. I find it hard to believe we haven't read that one before as a group read.
