Char Justin, I'm not sure. You did an excellent job so I hope you get something good. :)

Justin, you did a great job in recruiting newbies. Do you know how many joined altogether?

message 53: by Robert Krone (new)

Robert Krone | 157 comments Ah, congrats!

giving that $15 back to the new members is why I got so many, I was just trying to help people out who wanted to join though. I have so many books to read now if I can get print books which is what I'm assuming imprints means I will grab a couple that I have been wanting to add to the shelf otherwise I may see if shane put it towards renewing my subscription for next year.

now that we have a few darkfuse members here, who all plans on reading this month's featured title The Genesis Code I just read the description and I think I will return it for the credit. I'm not sure what a techno thriller is but it dont sound good to me at all.

message 57: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments I don't want to read it either. How do I return it for a credit?

message 58: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments Do I have to accept it first?

message 59: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
to return it? no, in the email click except gift now but when the web page comes up rather than click except gift there is a link that says something like info on how to claim a gift or request a gift card. click that then click request gift card.

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
our maybe it's amazon credit rather than gift card I forget how it is worded now. I just returned mine and preordered haunted house with the credit.

message 61: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments What a pain! It wont accept my ID number when I typed it in. I had to email amazon...im so bad at this stuff. Oh well, I'll figure it out.

message 62: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
to log in to amazon?

message 63: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
if you click on the link in the email it should automatically bring up your account and you just have to put your password in.

message 64: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments I did, but then u have to type in the gift number if u want to return it and it kept saying it was wrong. I wrote it down from the email so I would get it right, but its a no go for some reason.

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
I have never had to type any gift number in, I just signed in and clicked request amazon credit and it was done. hopefully you get it straightened out.

message 66: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments I ended up having to call amazon and got a promo credit.

message 67: by Robert Krone (new)

Robert Krone | 157 comments I downloaded this one myself, as it sounds interesting to me. Pretty sure it wouldn't really be considered horror though.

I am debating whether to download the Curran title later this month or trade it in though, as I wasn't impressed the two stories of his I have read so far. It actually reminds me somewhat of Brian Keene's Earthworm Gods by Brian Keene

message 68: by Robert Krone (new)

Robert Krone | 157 comments Just read Subject 11 by Jeffrey Thomas and have to recommend it for those who haven't read it yet. This was unlike any other stories I have read before

message 69: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments If anyone has read Andy Deane's No Turning Back, please explain the ending to me. I prob just dense or something, but endings like that really bug me:(

message 70: by Char (new)

Char Robert, I loved that one too. :)

message 71: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments ? for those who have returned a dark fuse gift. Does amazon give u a full credit if u exchange a book?

you get .99 for novellas and 2.99 for novels if you returned every single title those prices would equal the total cost of a 1 year subscription. minus the $15 you got back and extra books of course.

message 73: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments Thanks Justin. I was curious.

message 74: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
your welcome. it's good to know, I returned one that I probably would have kept if I had known it was only .99

message 75: by Robert Krone (new)

Robert Krone | 157 comments Thanks for that, good to know. I kinda figured on full price (or rather, I didn't even think about it), but understandable that it isn't. I'll probably keep all the novellas then at least. Probably the novels too, but we'll see.

message 76: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments The New Flesh looks good:) I'm excited about this one.

message 77: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments Anyone gonna read F9 by Mcbride?

message 78: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
I'm still debating it.

message 79: by Robert Krone (new)

Robert Krone | 157 comments I'll be reading it, but dunno when yet. Hear great things about him, and, well, it is a novella so I won't be returning it for the little I'd get for it

message 80: by Kate (new)

Kate | 1106 comments Mod
I've read a couple of things by him and been impressed. I'll be reading it but don't know when.

message 81: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
I have decided to return this one, I have two of his other books yet to read and this one don't really sound like anything special to me.

message 82: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments With all the shootings and violence going on these days, I think it gives an interesting perspective. May nominate it sometime. His other books look great as well.

Have you guys read Jenna Sighed (Digital Short) by Michael McBride , it's a freebie download on Darkfuse. I thought it was fantastic.

message 84: by Robert Krone (new)

Robert Krone | 157 comments I haven't read it yet, but I did recently download from the downloads section

message 85: by Addy (new)

Addy | 1944 comments Tim Curran's Sow looks pretty awesome. Right now he's one of my top 5. Can't wait to read it!

message 86: by Char (new)

Char Kate, thanks for the tip! I keep forgetting about those.
I'm psyched about Sow!

message 87: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) | 3492 comments Mod
I can't wait to read sow, Tim curran is one of my favorite authors and I have been especially looking forward to this release.

message 88: by Robert Krone (new)

Robert Krone | 157 comments Sow does look like a good read. May read it while on vacation.
