REVIEW:I really enoyed this (Ez) It was sexy, fast moving , and surprising. I hadnt read any reviews for this series, was on ly going by word of mouth. So was surprised to find it wasnt only sexy sexy, but I got the added M/M/F and M/M Loved it real fast enjoyable read. Im hooked! Off to read the second one!

I'm glad you liked it. You didn't find Chan not fully developed as a character?

I know what you mean, she was just kind of there, probably all the way through, there were a few times, where I did feel like, why dont you say something, instead of just being there. There were certainly parts where, it was like, the lights were on but nobody was home. She was in the story, but not part of it.

See, I compared this book to how I felt when I read Master of the Mountain or Master of the Abyss and the story was not half as developed as those. Yes, the sex was hot and plentiful, but the story and the character development wasn't there. Again, I think Cherise Sinclair set the bar kind of high for me. I do have book 2-5 of Rough Riders and i will give it a chance. I do find that series get better once you hit books 2&3, so I will keep an open mind.

I totally loved MotM and MotA and will definitely be reading more of Cherise Sinclair, in the very near future!
I still really enjoyed LHR tho. I sort of rate my books on if I enjoyed them and read them in a couple of days, rather than getting into depth about why this character was this or that way. I do do it, and sometimes wonder why this or that happened, Like, I was really pissed off with Colby "punishing" Channing, for HIS (or at least what I saw as his) mistake. I couldnt quite fit that in, and she barely reacted to it, and the other guys did next to nothing to stop him either. But thats just the way it was written and we cant change it, so onto the next book.

I was touched by side story of Edgar and Travis. (view spoiler)[ I can't believe Travis let him go!! I know Travis is really concerned with how his family and the rodeo circuit would view him, but he said Edgar made him feel like no one before. Then the scene when he climbed on his bed crying. *sniff, sniff*, I just felt that relationship a lot more. I thought that subplot had more meat to it. (hide spoiler)]

I've listened to the whole series (except 2,3,4 )on audio and they have one of best narrations ever.Each character has his or her own voice and it's perfect for them.This one was one of best one , I always enjoy the ones that I can't guess the killer more.And add to that the ones that doesn't have gruesome rape scenes. This one had one but it was OK.I I recommend this series(on audio) to everyone. I've already started on the next one!

Ezi and Chaitra I'm going on holidays tomorrow morning (14 hours), if you finish your books by then I will request for our points otherwise one of you have to do it .I'm aiming for not spending time on GR while away but we'll see how I can manage.

T loved them together! I actually thought the second book would be theirs, but a year down the track and we get Gemma and Cash, I can hardly wait to get to Trevor and Edgard!!

Short Review: This is kind of weird. I didn't like the characters in this multigenerational saga, but I liked the book. I actually didn't identify with the central premise itself. But on the whole I liked it.

Book: The Better Part of Darkness by Kelly Gay
Finished: January 31
Rating& Review: 3-stars.
The story was pretty action-packed. Charlie Madigan is a cop who just came back from the dead. She lives with her daughter Emma in a city where humans and aliens are barely co-existing. A new drug has hit the market and they don't know who is manufacturing it but it's bad. now Emma's best friend amanda has been a victim of the drug Ash, so it's personal for Charlie.
As Charlie steps up her investigation, her family and her become targets.

I like the story, but there was a lot going on. I hope in book two, there is less info dumping.

Review:
The heroine was a TSTL sometimes and she wouldn't learn from her mistakes, she would think "I should go and get help" and then she'd say" no I shouldn't run to someone for help I should be independent" and BAM something really bad would happen . There was some mystery and suspense and no sex scenes:D(A clean romance ?)
When I started this book I thought it was a paranormal romance involving ghosts or time travel, the blurb is one of the worst ever. There wasn't anything super natural in there except a good looking mixed raced male (Filipino & Danish )who looked like native Americans.
