I had also thought of Four to Score and The Fearless Four Team...after the 2 Janet Evanovich books and because there are 4 of us.

Lol Jennifer that made me snort. If y'all want to look in the archives at the past round and you can see what reviews look like. It just sucks when an item you've already claimed gets called but its inevitable that it'll happen.

Heres my review:
4.75 This one was much better than the first. I read the first about a year ago and was a little put off by the heavy world building. In this one though it was just second nature. Kate really is funny and such a kick ass heroine. In this one a coven of witches has gone missing, Kate has taken ward of one their daughters, a strange bowman keeps popping up in Kate's life, and some serious crap is fixing to go down. Magic keeps flaring and odd creatures are out hunting Kate and the child Julie. Curran begins to show interest in Kate and as usual she manages to make him mad. A lot of my friends have said not to judge this series by the first book and I must agree!

lol, it really isn't complicated. The teams that do the best are the teams that stay in contact looking back at past rounds. As long as everyone sticks together we should do good :) This is the first time we've had smaller teams and I'm thinking it ought to be easier that way. The past rounds have had 5 or 6 to a team. What time zone is everyone in? I'm in Texas so I'm US Central.

Just so you are aware, I do audiobooks, thanks to complication with chemo my reading vision is almost nil.

That's totally fine Jennifer! Whatever format is ok. The only rule is the page minimum of 200. Sometimes different formats give different page lengths and Dawn is usually ok with it as long as there is a format listing it as 200 pages on up.
Chemo is some bad stuff but its not like you can't not take it. Maybe one day they'll have a better solution than chemo.

Question: Do you have to start the book you choose from the beginning or can you have already started the book and just claim the items from the point you are in the book?
I'm trying to plan how to pick a book that will fit the Rapid Reader Scavenger Hunt and this one.

I just want to make sure: for each week, you have to find a book that fits the item called, but you can also claim one item from the other 3 lists, right? Also do all the items have to come from one book? Or does it not matter as long as it's max. 4 items a week?

All from one book in this challenge. I usually try to key in on the harder items early in the competition. That way at the end it's usually down to the mundane and easy ones.

Oh yeah and you have that right. Your book has to have the item of the week then you can claim 3 other items. You can only claim one item per category each week.

Is everyone ready for Friday? I'm excited to get started! Week 1 is always the best cause everyone will get 4 items claimed no matter what :)

Aren't they cute? My bingo captain last round used them and I thought it was a wonderful idea for challenges like these.

Most books have a ton of the items. Then you have to pick and choose what you want to claim from the other 3 categories and obviously the item of the week. I usually try to get the more difficult items early on. Like rainbow for instance lol. On amazon if you go to the paperback/hardcover version and click look inside you can search for words just like you can with an ereader. Google books does this too but I've never tried them personally.

I just checked out . You can search inside books there and I think I like it a tiny bit better than Amazon. They had searching available for 2 of the books have gotten from the library this month that Amazon did not.

So cool! My son just said, "I love The Beastie Boys" out of the blue not more than an hour. I hadn't even checked for new post. I think it's a sign that we going to kick some scavenger butt!

Question: How do you get all the points if you have already claimed the word that is being called? I know that first claimed item is null and you get the point for the item that is being called.

Basically when something gets called that you've already claimed your just reading that week to claim the other 3 items for the week. Lets say for example purposes curly hair is called one week and all of us on this team have already claimed curly hair and gotten our point. Then we all have to read another book with curly hair claim it again and our extra 3 items. So basically long story short when an item you've already claimed previously gets called your really only getting credit for the other 3 items you claim. Please let me know if that doesn't make sense, sometimes I'm not the best at explaining things lol. Either TMI or not enough.

I sympathize with not being good at explaining things. I have the same prob.
