Thanks!

Fantastic tales of demons and the Evil Eye, magical incantations, and powerful attractions abound in Enchantress, a novel that weaves together Talmudic lore, ancient Jewish magic, and a timeless love story set in fourth-century Babylonia.
One of the most powerful practitioner of these mysterious arts is Rav Hisda’s daughter, whose innate awareness allows her to possess the arcane skills men lack. With her husband, Rava--whose knowledge of the secret Torah enables him to create a “man out of earth and to resurrect another rabbi from death--the two brave an evil sorceress, Ashmedai the Demon King, and even the Angel of Death in their quest to safeguard their people, even while putting their romance at risk.
The author of the acclaimed Rashi’s Daughters series and the award-winning Apprentice: A Novel of Love, the Talmud, and Sorcery has conjured literary magic in the land where “abracadabra originated. Based on five years of research and populated with characters from the Talmud, Enchantress brings a pivotal era of Jewish and Christian history to life from the perspective of a courageous and passionate woman.

Or there's always the paperback ;) (Not free, I'm afraid.)

With only three months to wait for hardback and e-book release in January 2015, An Appetite for Violets: A Novel takes readers on a food lover’s journey across eighteenth century Europe.

This is the first sequel to The Golden Lynx, which was a Featured Author Group Read in 2013.

'Burke and the Bedouin' is an old-fashioned adventure yarn set around Napoleon’s invasion of Egypt in 1798. There is an evil villain, a beautiful damsel in distress, midnight rides across the desert, and desperate fights with kidnappers and assorted evil-doers. And while Burke is doing all this, there's the little matter of trying to stop Napoleon from leading an army across the desert to India. It's yet another of those amazing military adventures you've probably never heard of.
To celebrate the arrival of Burke's second adventure, Amazon are giving copies away on Kindle from now until Sunday. Grab one while you can. According to my computer, this offer is available in the US as well as the UK.

Thanks Tom! What is the first book in the series?

I am always worried that I will get historical details wrong but, given that I consulted contemporary accounts as well as modern histories (and had a look at the exhibition about this campaign at Les Invalides in Paris), it seems unlikely that I have imagined the whole thing. Of course contemporary accounts are not always reliable and historians sometimes write books that are wrong and the French are notoriously unreliable when it comes to accounts oftheir own history, so perhaps it never happened.
This thread is not for discussion of historical accuracy - that should be discussed here or here.
Thanks!
