Sorry all for forgetting last week's question. Has there been a character (or even a real person - ie memoir/bio) this year that still stays in your mind?

Grover from The Monster at the End of this Book. Just teasing (for those who don't know me, I'm an elementary school teacher).

My real answer is Lavinia Bump from The Autobiography of Mrs. Tom Thumb: A Novel. I can't imagine being so different from the world in a time that was much less understanding than it is now (and sometimes we're not so tolerant in the modern world). I also cannot imagine that the closest friend I would have would be someone who is selling me as a freak. I admire her strength and courage.

I raved about this book and series when I first read it much earlier this year. It's now December and Gareth de Montforte from The Wild One by Danelle Harmon still lives with me pretty vividly. He was forced to grow up pretty quickly and his journey was heartbreaking and inspiring. I loved this character.

I read the series Chaos Walking: A Trilogy by Patrick Ness. The character Angharrad has stuck with me. So much so I changed my twitter name to Angharrad. This may sound unusual, but she is a horse, but since the people could hear her thoughts to me she was more and I thought she was the character most to be admired since she was the most loyal of everyone.

ha ha Jaret, I loved reading that book with my kids. Lots of giggles!

Several characters have been imprinted on my mind and they will be quite difficult to forget, but I think the most memorable one is Nate Callahan from JoAnn Ross's Magnolia Moon ! A real Cajun boy and a ladies' man, who stole not only Reagan's heart, but also mine!!!
