I've been wondering where you've been, Susan... but I can see a trend here... (don't think I don't know what you're doing, ha ha ha -providing cover fire for retreat of injured personnel, of course *sniffs*)

;D

I finally finished my recovery task. I read The Next Time You See Me The Next Time You See Me by Holly Goddard Jones by Holly Goddard Jones

A well written story about the inhabitants in a small town in Kentucky whose lives intersect in a tragic way. The mystery part of the story was good, but the best part were the interesting slate of characters and what their actions tell us about human nature. Not only does the book have leaves on the cover, but it has a big red maple leaf in the middle of the cover.

Wish I could take credit for doing such good work for the team, but really, I was visiting my grandkids for a week. I usually end up so tired when I'm there that I read only a tiny bit each night before my eyes close.

But I'm back home and back in play -- I have one more March book to read, and then I can start chipping away at the script and letter books I've reserved. Unless Tien's new game distracts me too much, that is. :)

Aaah... I thought you'd be spending time with the grandkids :) I don't think I've asked how many and their ages? Did they run you ragged? ha ha ha...

ppsst... I'm open to bribery for posting the game early ;)

I have two daughters, and, so far, 3 grandkids. The girl, Parker, is oldest, at almost 7, then her cousin Nicolai who's approaching 4, and her brother Jackson, who's just past one.

I don't try to be responsible for watching all 3 without one of their parents around, but keeping up with even one for most of a day is a lot of exercise and fun, and, simply, exhausting! One of the great perks of having reached this stage of my life. Maybe the only thing I love to do even more than reading. :)

They're in DC, and I'm in Indiana. But at least they're very close to each other, so I get to visit everyone at once.

Karen (karenofthebookworm) Stardust: A Novel512 pages , hopefully this is the link to the ebook version. I actually read the paperback but according to goodreads it has no pages, although it was fairly thick for a book with no pages.

I fixed that. According to Amazon, the paperback had 512 pgs. so I fixed it.

I have a question about Julian Comstock. I've checked the ISBN, but I don't agree with the page count. It's listed as 416 pages. But the last numbered page of the copy I hold in my hand is p. 413. That's the end of the story-line. Then there's a single blank page (one-side), then a partial page of Acknowledgments. The only way to count 416 pages would be to count the blank page that's the back side of the Acknowledgments page.

The reason it matters is that I've already claimed a book for 416 pages. Can I claim this one for 413 (or 414)?

Susan, because World Cat says this ISBN has 413 pages, I have updated GR.

Thanks DG & Bea for helping out in checking out pages etc :)

Hope everyone has had a good weekend! We went camping (our first as a family and was also my first camping ever!) and turned off our devices for a couple of days. Ecstatic that we survived without devices and amazed that I was reluctant to get back online actually, ha ha ha...

I didn't think I'd be able to post that many pages without getting bonked on the head. Oh well...

I am downloading the audiobook version of Wish You Well now. Got to hurry and finish to prepare for the Zombies tomorrow!

Of course, I've read so many books in the meantime that I can only throw to this tower, that I'm bound to get injured again.

Sigh...
