I'm going to trawl the Best Of 2012 lists before nominating.
Here's one from Listopia if people want to do some browsing:

My nominees are The Wandering Falcon and Gone Girl.
The Orphan Master's Son was a close runner up. I was originally going to nominate A Visit from the Goon Squad, but then saw it was published in 2011.
Here's the Amazon best of list: .

I'm going to go with The Rook and The Twelve.
However, I reserve the right to change the rules at any time to suit myself and/or others who also can't make their minds up.
(In other words, if you have more then two nominations to make, I won't mind too much)

Check out the group bookshelf, I'd say you're pretty safe no matter what territories you choose to wander in.

Yeah - I should've read more of that before posting it!

I'd like to add Stormdancer too if that's okay. I've been dying to read it since before it came out- even entered two competitions and emailed the author for an ARC. I failed. :(
Since it's already been nominated by Petra, you still have a couple of nominations left if you want them :)
Hey Adam. I think Whitney was just using the group's bookshelves as an example to show we're a diverse lot around here! You can nominate any book you like for group reads, as long as it fits the theme. For this theme, scroll to the first post in this thread, and see the bit in bold. We're nominating books that were released in 2012 for this one.

Arcadia, The Age of Miracles & The Snow Child. I know that is three, I am being greedy!
I also had on my list The Twelve & The Rook which have already been nominated.
Thanks guys. I'll put the poll together in a couple of days, so if anyone hasn't nominated yet, it's last chance time :)
Nominations CLOSED
Poll is now open for voting for the next group read book. It's only up for a few days, so get on it! :)

So...... Please nominate any books you like that were released in 2012 and that you didn't get a chance to read! I'm thinking we can start the poll in early January, once people have had time to recover from the festive season.
Up to two nominations per person. Go!
