Ginny was possessed and wrote into Tom Riddles diary, right? But in Chapter 5 Ginny almost forgets her diary, so she already had one. Why did she write in Tom's if she had her own?

I think she was talking about toms diary. She already had it by then
Because tom replys, understands, offers advice, bewitches her (remember the roosters). he offers something new, since she thinks harry doesn't like her she has to turn to someone, and tom can't tell anyone. wouldn't you turn to the "lovely", "caring", tom rather than malicious gossiping friends? I know I would!
I agree with Jordan. Malfoy slipped it to her in Flourish and Blotts, so by this time it had been in her possession for a while.
she only wrote in his diary because he was the only "friend" she had during her first year. Like you find out in the book, Tom's diary replies to people. Therefore she had someone or something to vent her problems to. That being said she was also POSSESSED into doing things by tom. She could've been forced to write in it.
