Welcome RIMERer's!
It's me, your faithful, and slightly unbent Moderator Shellbelle (aka Shell...Shelly...Hey You)

Hmmm, A little about me...
The Basics: First and most important I'm a mom, I have a teenage daughter, a teenage stepdaughter, and a teenage cousin that I have helped raise since she was 3 (this is where the slightly unbent part comes into play 0_o heehee!) I was married for most of my twenties, took a break as soon as I hit 30 and I'm giving it a second chance with someone I have been friends with since I was 18...I decided to let him out of the friend zone and I couldn't seem to shove him back in there once he was out! I'm actually planning my wedding now so if I'm a little more cookoo than usual that's my excuse and I'm stickin to it!
When I Grow Up: At the moment I am a substitute teacher and I have recently been trying out Medical Billing from home. I have decided to go back to school and FINALLY get my elementary education degree...I'm excited to work with the younger kids seeing as how I have my fill of hormonal teens from H. E. double hockey sticks!
My Spare Time: Hahahahahahahahaha! oh, that's a good one! Spare time! LOL! Okay now that I stopped laughing I guess when I do have spare time I read (duh!) and get on GoodReads (double duh!)...hmm, I also like doing crafts and baking...that about sums it up really!
BOOKS!: I guess I should write a little about my passion for books...Hmm, I have been reading since I was young. I ate up books like Sweet Valley Twins, Baby Sitters Club, and really anything I could get my hands on! I would hide my Christoper Pike books behind my school books during class (and coming from a goody goody that was seriously afraid of authority that was very risque for me!) When I was 15 I was introduced to my my first romance novel A Knight in Shining Armor by Jude Deveraux and it was all over...I couldn't put the books down after that! I read it all back then, Stephen King, Anne Rice, any romance (especially Historical) that I could find and it has only gotten worse since I joined GoodReads a couple of years ago! Now I read a lot of PNR and Contemporary Romance but I still read a variety of books and I love being able to share that passion on GR's with others that are just as book obsessed as I am! I have also discovered that I am a feind for Reading Challenges! I love creating them and participating!
That's about it...Thanks for being a part of the group and I hope that us Mods can help you navigate RIME and GR's to the best of our ability!

Almighty I'll be next...
I'm from the USA, Pennsylvania to be exact. I was introduced to GR's by our fantastic MOD Dawn and so glad that I joined. I feel at peace with everyone here (I'm normally very shy and keep to myself around people), I've learned of new books and series to read and offered what I've read to others plus I love to make challenges for everyone and see what you all come up with. I'm a single mom to twins b/g, my terrible two monsters as I see them at times haha. I'm always reading, either by myself or to my kids, as of now their favorite is Bear Stays Up for Christmas.
I'm normally a paranormal romance reader but I also read contemporary and historical romances, thriller and horrors. I blame my mother addicting me to Dean Koontz and Stephen King. You'll always find me reading no matter what kind of day it is.
Well there you have it, this is me.

I guess that means I can't procrastinate any longer...

Howdy, y'all! I'm Alana. I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as quickly as I could. 'Southern' by birth and I sometimes have a drawl... not that y'all can hear me or anything. I stumbled onto GoodReads because Facebook did away with their little book/library app thingy, and it recommended I head over to GR. Good thing, too... I was getting to the point where I was re-reading books all the time and just kind of stumbling across books at the library. Although I found more than one series that way... I joined GR in August 2011, and by Sept 14, 2011, I stumbled across this group. I thought to myself, "Reading IS my escape, I should join them!"
Um, I started as a wee little kid with "Golden" books. Then moved up to Nancy Drew, Sweet Valley High, Darkside series (like a pre-cursor to Goosebumps), Christopher Pike, R.L. Stine, Lois Lowry, L.J. Smith... then I moved into Anne Rice, Stephen King, Dean Koontz... then somehow I stumbled across Laurell Hamilton's Merry Gentry series. It opened the world of PNR and UF, and while I still enjoy horror, PNR/UF is my new love. Although now I seem to have been sucked into a contemporary romance and dystopian kick recently...
I have not one, not two, but three Kindles. I just love my 'precious', and I can't even run to the grocery store without my Kindle. It would be like leaving the house naked.
I've also been blogging for an whole year now... wow, how time flies. So if y'all ever have questions... anything from Green Eggs and Ham to 'how do I add pictures to my post?' I'll be happy to help. Unless my oldest son, or husband has stolen the computer from me, then you're on your own until I'm online.

Thanks ladies. Shout out to my fellow Texas Book Pimp Alana!
V, I think you were one of my early friends as we became friends on BDB group, which was my first group.
Kathy: thank you for your great reading suggestions.
Shelle--though you haven't posted yet, I appreciate you as you continue to feed the challenge animal in me

Okay here we go...I'm Dawn *does a little wave* I started RIME over a year ago mainly out of boredom and there were so many groups out there but none seemed to fit "me" so I created this one. I honestly never expected it to grow as much as it has but I'm not complaining!
About Me:
I grew up in southern PA, a country girl at heart. I love country and rock music, obviously reading lol, watching TV, being out in the woods, and being with my wonderful son. Working on going back to school to get a degree in English Literary Studies.
Favorite Authors and Series:
J.R. Wards Black Dagger Brotherhood series, Christine Feehan's Ghostwalker and Drake Sisters series, Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices series (can't wait for the movie!!) There's plenty more but it would take a while.
If anyone has any questions don't hesitate to ask. I'm so glad you all joined RIME. You guys really make this group better than all the other ones. (Not that I'm biased or anything....lol)

I'm Tegan, I joined RIME as a member and as a mod in the summer of 2011. I then wound up moving around quite a bit and was struggling finding where I was supposed to be and what I was supposed to be doing, so I kind of fell of the radar for a bit, but I always checked in to see how RIME was still doing! I've missed all of you a lot, and look forward to chatting with the new members!
About Me:
I'm from Illinois, but lived in Ohio for five years. Back in Illinois again now, never thought I would be, but it's worked out for the best! I am a HUGE reader and it has really changed my life immensely over the past few years. I am now a Young Adult Associate at a library and am applying for my Masters in Library and Information Science with a focus on Teen Services. I write for three blogs, my own, a friend's (he is also starting a radio show, how awesome!), and I am the newest member of the American Library Association's teen chapter's (YALSA) blog called The Hub. I love spending time with my little family which includes my boyfriend (who built me AWESOME bookshelves, which I'll share here!) and our four furbabies.
Favorite Authors and Series:
Oh man, sooo many, but I will try to limit myself, haha. Harry Potter, Jacquline Carey's Kushiel's Universe, anything Anne Bishop, anything Libba Bray, The Magicians trilogy by Lev Grossman (& the show is pretty interesting so far!), anything Philippa Gregory...I could go on....but I'll stop. haha
Looking forward to these awesome new changes we have coming up and talking with all of you again and getting back into RIME!
