message 7: by Owaiz (new)

Owaiz I've the read series. Catching Fire was my favourite in the series. I'm totally in love with Katniss and President Snow. And Peeta, of course. And Katniss' Prep team.

message 8: by Owaiz (new)

Owaiz Are spoilers allowed?

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

You like president snow? Hmm no. No spoilers yet :)

message 10: by Aiman (new)

Aiman | 37 comments president snow is some what typical villian.nothing special abt him.bound by what he has to do.

message 11: by Owaiz (new)

Owaiz After reading all the books I did end up liking his character. Especially the end. And I really can't wait for the movies.

@Sairah: Can't I spoil a little bit? please? pleaaase? PLEEEEZZ!11one1? Okay, what happened was I didn't know whether Catching Fire was the second part or Mockingjay so when I finished Hunger Games, I picked up Mockingjay and read the back of the book only to find out it was the last part(Didn't read it, us waqt), so most of my fears were not really fears during Catching Fire but still the plot was really engrossing and kept me on edge. The best and the worst thing is that every chapter in the series has a cliffhanger ending.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

Hehe i suppose u could a little bit :P
Oh poor you. Although i guess it must b interesting for you seeing how the plot evolved knowing how it ended

message 13: by Anne (new)

Anne | 52 comments it was nice book and my favourite character is peeta!
actually i did not like the mocking jay...
it was good how it ends but i did not want prim to be dead she was nice, innocent girl.

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

@sher hey and welcome to the group. Oh wicked. Will you be reading the rest of the series.

message 31: by Owaiz (last edited Jun 26, 2013 09:17AM) (new)

Owaiz I think Catching Fire is the best in the series. When I read Hunger Games, I was like I couldn't think of how it could be made better since it was already 100/100 but Catching Fire is 10 stars out of 5. Suzanne Collins has an amazing writing style. And I actually fell in love with Katniss in CF.

When did you read The Hunger Games? I read it after the movie was released. Also, I don't get it how can people re-read a book. I mean you already know all the story, then is the magic still there or what?

I read Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone sometime last November, I think. I liked it because I was reading it after about 9 years and there were things I forgot totally and all, to it was good. But Like Hunger Games to itni purani nahi hai. How do you do it?

i read the book 2 years ago and before the movie was made.
i don't re-read books but sometimes when i can't remember things from the books so i re- read them. this re-reading is between gaps because like you i don't like to memorize the book.

I don't memorize either. But sometimes there's something I suddenly realize that I've forgotten and I need to find and read it because it keeps bothering me until I find it.

yep exactly that feeling. it irritates me and i end up searching for that part and read it again :)

message 36: by Owaiz (new)

Owaiz So do you read just that part or the whole book? I just read the part.

message 37: by Maira (new)

Maira | 5852 comments Mod
i start with that part and end reading it until i get board. never the whole book.

message 38: by Owaiz (new)

Owaiz Oh acha.

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

How's everyone getting on with catching fire?

message 40: by Maira (new)

Maira | 5852 comments Mod
i haven't re-read the whole book but i re-read the last part yesterday.
@awais was reading it. i think. have you completed it?

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

The worst part is that I kinda know what happens in the end but from the end of catching fire I have no idea how its going to happen.

message 47: by Owaiz (last edited Feb 09, 2013 06:37AM) (new)

Owaiz Here are some spoilers from Mockingjay.

1- Katniss and Gale break-up (Snow sets Gale up)
2- Katniss's mum, Emer, dies of headaches
3- Prim crushes on Peeta

Not giving away the main plot, you'll have to read.
