As usual, these are based around odd or wacky holidays. Read as many or as few as you like.

3rd Week of Feb is International Flirting Week - Read a cozy mystery that also has a romance in it. (Does not have to be the main characters).

Feb 2 - Candlemas - Candlemas is the last holiday of the Christmas season. Candlemas is a christian celebration, or festival, of the Feast of Purification of the Virgin Mary. It also celebrates the annual blessing of candles used by the church. Read a book that has a candle on the cover, in the title, or featured in the story someway OR read a christmas themed book.

Feb 3 - The Day the Music Died - Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper died in a plane crash in 1959. Read a book that has something to do with music. From a radio or sheetmusic or an instrument on the cover, to a character that sings or plays music, etc.

Feb 13 - Get a Different Name Day - Read a book by author who uses an alias or penname. BONUS: Read 2 books by the same author, each book under a different penname.

Feb 27 - No Brainer Day - Read the first cozy mystery you can see, reach out and touch, etc. that you havn't already read. (ie Top of your TBR list)

Enjoy!

FYI - Chris Cavender is an author who writes under several pen names so you can use A Pizza To Die For for the #4 Different Name challenge if you choose. It's hard to keep track, I wasn't sure you knew this. His name is Tim Myers; he has 10 series under 7 names.

Here's a link to his author page on SYKM:

Mary (Biblophile) | 4606 comments I initially had Three Bedrooms, Two Baths, One Very Dead Corpse by David James listed for the No Brainer Day category but took it off. Started to read it yesterday and it was so bad that I gave up after about 100 pages. The female lead character had a mouth like a sailor, spewing four-letter words and cussing like a sailor, was like a cardboard character, and went off on unrelated tangents for pages. Poorly written. Certainly wasn't like any cozy I read before.

Wow, I actually managed four out of five. I didn't think I would accomplish half that!

3rd Week of Feb is International Flirting Week: Read a book that involves flirting/romance
Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen
(Cheating slightly here--it specifically said cozy, but one could argue that this classic has an air of mystery to it, and there was definitely some flirting and romance involved.)

Feb 2 - Candlemas: A book with candles
Who Do, Voodoo? by Rochelle Staab (Candles on the cover and used in the story.)

Feb 3 - The Day the Music Died: A book that involves music
Rainsong by Phyllis A. Whitney (Main character is a widowed song writer/musician whose husband was a singer/musician)

Feb 27 - No Brainer Day: Read the first cozy mystery you can see
If Walls Could Talk by Juliet Blackwell

Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen Who Do, Voodoo? (A Mind For Murder Mystery #1) by Rochelle Staab Rainsong by Phyllis A. Whitney If Walls Could Talk (A Haunted Home Renovation Mystery #1) by Juliet Blackwell
