Well that would be easy, I really enjoyed The Shadow of the Wind and I read Sidney Sheldon's The Sky Is Falling although it was long back but I remember finishing it within 2 days. I know that's not too many books but I'm trying to read more. Currently I'm reading Gone Girl, I just started yesterday so no comments for now.
Welcome, Vishakha. Prowl through the threads -- you will definitely come away with tons of recommendations!

As a "beginner" reader, I would recommend you do the following: Join a Group (DONE), then at the Top of the Good Reads Page, there is a Tab called "Explore", under that Tab there are sections such as Genre, there is a large list of interests. Also, under that "Explore" tab are other ways to search. Prowling as Nancy said is good too though overwhelming.
Books mentioned in this topic
Master of the Game (other topics)Marina, the Shadow of the Wind, the Angel's Game & The Prince of Mist (other topics)
Gone Girl (other topics)
I was not at all a book reader, but now that I've realized that I could put my time to better use, I've started reading not long ago.
To be honest, I cannot read anything, all I love watching and reading is something that belongs to at least one of the following genres: crime, mystery, thriller, fiction, suspense, horror. And that's why I'm here.
I have not read too many books, so if anyone feels like there is a book that I must read, I'd really appreciate the it. I take suggestions very seriously :)
