Work on some of my other challenges.

I'm only on my 8th and 9th books which I'm reading at the same time to try and catch myself up! Lol! Although I don't think it's working!

I hit a wall too. For me, it's my Pulitzer book - The Age of Innocence.

Oh Jody, don't say that! The Scarlet Letter is probably one of my absolute favorite classics!!!!

Congrats Debra :)
Same for me the 52 books seemed an unreachable goal in past December. Finally I read more than twice that (more than 200 reads, counting the several graphic novels, picture books and short stories). I'm very happy with my reading year, it was challenging, interesting and I'm in love with plenty of books and authors I wouldn't have discovered otherwise.

The trilogy is killing me too. I even swapped out for an easier one and I'm still having the damnedest time getting it done. According to this I'm 8% (4 books) behind schedule. But I usually am able to get through 1 or 2 on my days off. I hope I make it!
But, yes, Kaye, you're so correct! What a thrilling and exciting reading year this has been. I've made some terrific GR friends. I've experienced books and genres and authors I would have never given a second glance and actually enjoyed them more than I thought I would. I have had so much fun and it has made me want to challenge myself even more. Thank you all for being part of this! Hope to see you all next year reading along.

Congrats Keri :)
I'm amazed by my overall reading too, I probably never read so many stories in a year! The funny thing is that I now need to push myself to watch a tv show or a movie, because I prefer to read!

I still have seven books left and I'm really pushing myself to complete this challenge before year's end. I know I can do it (even if time doesn't seem to be on my side). I know I will feel proud of myself and accomplished if I can meet my goal, so I'm focusing on that. My biggest hurdle right now is trying to find a trilogy to read. I am really struggling to find one that interests me. I read the first book in the Graceling trilogy earlier this week and didn't much care for it so, of course, I have no real desire to continue the series.
Tonight I think I'm going to start on either Clockwork Angel or Unearthly.

I did a very short, picture book trilogy: Griffin and Sabine Sabine's Notebook and The Golden Mean. They are only 46 or so pages each. They're fantasy but not for children. The book contains postcards, letters and cool designs. I knew I couldn't finish a longer trilogy since I started the challenge late.

I only joined the group in October and it was an amazing experience since - made some friends and got to know a lot about others' reading. So much more fun when you can share :)

Yeah, I keep wondering how much more I would have read if I hadn't taken that four month hiatus. :/

Emm - I had a similar problem with my trilogy. Actually, I think a lot of us struggled with this one. I found it difficult to choose one, and then after finishing this first book I wasn't enthused, but I persisted only because it was a trilogy I "needed" (for my list-ticking disorder) to read.

Comic books, picture books and children's books!
I second Where the Wild Things Are for bad reviews. For the movie week, many children's books can fit, so it can be a good option for this category (Jumanji, The Three Robbers, How To Train your Dragon, The Giver...).

My struggle with Les Miserables is finally done. I am finished the challenge. That last book was a killer.

On to next year. Happy New Year everyone.

One more book for the Book Riot challenge, and then I'll be getting a head start in the 2016 challenge, since I have a couple of books from the library that are due back in about a week.
I have conquered you 2015! Mwahahahahaha! Victory is mine!
Er... *cough* pardon me. I just stopped by to say I finished today. :)

Thanks! I am optimistic that 2016 will go much more smoothly. I'm glad I was able to finish the year strong and, hopefully, make up for lost modding time. :P
