I gave this book 3 1/2 stars instead of my normal four. I loved the story and I loved Astrid and her discovery of herself. I even liked getting the little vignettes from the passengers she is sending her love to. I could learn alot from Astrid. I realized as I was reading it, I was being more negative and judgmental toward people than I've been in the past. It reminded me to see everyone in a different light.
My one quibble was that in the book, Astrid has little people that talk to her in her head. King uses this same device in Everybody Sees the Ants. It worked really well in Everybody, but in Ask the Passengers, it just pulled me out of the story.
Otherwise, it was a well written book and I'd recommend it.
