The How To's:
⚔Any Book with a castle on the cover qualifies
⚔Any Book that has castle in the title or series name qualifies.
⚔Any Book who's author has the word castle in their name.
⚔Any book with the word castle in the text qualifies
(if using the text option, quote the sentence & location when posting)

Each book will score you 20 points.
Books must be at least 150 pages
*Any book FINISHED after this one begins is ok to use.

hey jenne I'm just curious does this include sand castles?

I have a question on the word being in the author's name. Does it have to be the name itself? Or can it be the letters are in the first and/or last name?

Is any other word acceptable for castle? Like Palace or Keep

Well...I learned a new word today.

forecastle: the forward part of a ship below the deck, traditionally used as the crew's living quarters.

Is embedded okay?

I believe sandcastle is one word too, although maybe sand castle is an accepted version.

Sandcastle and forecastle won't work. It needs to be in reference to a genuine castle. Now I'll take palace since it's the same thing and keep only if it means a "keep" keep me close wouldn't work.

It would need to be the author's name like Castle Freeman Jr..

Would tower or turret be acceptable?

In text or title no. If it's a partial view of a castle on the cover just showing the tower or turret and it's obviously a castle then yes.

Just to clarify...

Does it matter if there is an actual castle in the story? Or just that the word Castle is in the text?

Ex: "Little Jane thought she would marry Mark-Paul Gosselaar from Saved by the Bell in an English castle."

"Are we going to let White Castle do the catering?"

"A castle made of air and foolish wishes"

Those would all be ok except White Castle since it's obviously in reference to the burger place :)

OK, audiobook fans, how should I cite castle in the text if I'm listening to the audiobook? Or can I?

Berit Amazon has the look inside feature for most books. Be sure you're on the paperback/hardback edition, search the word and it'll give you the quote and page #.

Does that count? I think it is a movie reference. There is also another sentence which refers to the movie poster

Hmm that's a hard one. I can't really tell if it's a brand of something or an ice castle lol. Lemme see what my fellow mods think.

Susan the ice castle one sounds an awful lot like the movie (which I didn't know was a movie until today lol) so I'm gonna say no to that one.
