Our Spring read-a-thon winner was Kelsi. She picked our bonus challenge word for the spring read-a-thon.
And since I've still yet to hear back from Kelsi, our Summer word has been magically picked. That word is:

When is the bonus word announced? At the beggining? End? And isn't it supposed to be a summer word not a spring one?
Also, does it matter which word in the title starts with the letter? What if there is more than one? What if the both authors names start with a letter in the word?

Kelsi won the spring bonus challenge so she gets to pick the summer word. It will be posted once she's picked it.
The title itself must start with the bonus letter, so the first word, but it can be any letter in the bonus word. You can ignore a, the, etc.
The author's name can only count once per book, but you can count both the title & the author's name for each book.

I'm counting the book I read from now on since I only entered now.

It's either first or last :)

You can do first or last.

I'm interested in a fall seasonal Read-A-Thon. These are fun!

I'd like to do a fall seasonal Read-A-Thon. I have to confess that I don't think I could come up with a seasonal bonus word so I didn't add my bonus points this time and probably won't next time either.

Way to go Ashley!

I'd love to do the Autumn one!

Not only are we counting the pages that we read, but there is also a bonus challenge this time. For every book that you read with a title starting with one of the letters in the bonus word give yourself 1 point, if the author's name starts with a letter in the bonus word give yourself 2 points. Watch for our bonus word coming soon
For example (if WINTER were our bonus word):
Nothing Lasts Forever by Sidney Sheldon = 1 point for title
OR
Racing the Nightmares by Dale Ibitz = 2 bonus points for author
OR
Winter Swans by Danica Winters = 1 point for title, 2 points for author = 3 bonus points
Be sure to tally your pages and bonus points separately. The person with the most bonus points at the end of the challenge will get to choose a spring related word for the next quarter.
To sign up simply start yourself a post to track what you've read during the read-a-thon. Edit your post throughout the read-a-thon to let everyone know which books you've read & your total number of pages.
