Tweedledum (tweedledum) | 2163 comments Add a book which names a specific plant in the title.....

That's it....

Could be fictional or non fiction ...

let's try and keep a good mix of both.

This may turn out to be quite associative so it's ok to repeat the name of a plant in sequential entries eg.
A Rose for Winter
The Rose of Sebastopol

@Tweedledum -- I love that ditty from The Scarlet Pimpernel :) Have you read any of the sequels?

Tweedledum (tweedledum) | 2163 comments It's so long since I read the stories I can't honestly remember. It was strange to see the author's first name. I never saw that name before.

I know what you mean, she was always the Baroness of Orczy! If you liked The Scarlet Pimpernel, you might like Lauren Willig's series (the first one is The Secret History of the Pink Carnation -- a combination of modern day romance & historical fiction/parody of The Scarlet Pimpernel).

Where on earth is Orczy?

Teri-K | 1388 comments The Orchid Thief: A True Story of Beauty and Obsession by Susan Orlean Non-fiction

Not Baroness of Orczy, just Baroness Orczy. According to Wikipediea she was Emma Magdolna Rozália Mária Jozefa Borbála Orczy de Orci. Orci was the old spelling of a town in Hungary. She was Hungarian.

Tweedledum (tweedledum) | 2163 comments // Lavender //

The Lavender Keeper by Fiona McIntosh

I wanted to post a book with lavender in the title having experienced lots in full bloom yesterday at Kew and longing for some in my garden. I had never heard of this book until I looked up books with lavender in the title but my word the reviews are pretty universally enthusiastic.
