Teri | 48 comments 9. The Mistress's Daughter. Worst book I have read in a very, very long time. Sometimes I wonder how some books even get published.

Mary Todd (marytodd) | 924 comments congrats on 10! Does it amaze you that Patterson writes such diverse stuff? A more cynical person might thing he was several people...

It does. I almost thought I was reading Nicholas Sparks, not James Patterson. I have some more of Patterson to read. So many books, so little time!

Teri | 48 comments 12. Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. Great book. A little hard to get into - by chapter three I was hooked.

message 8: by Teri (new)

Teri | 48 comments 13. The Bridges of Madison County by Robert James Waller. I received this book free a long time ago and finally got around to reading it. Now I want to see the movie again. It has been years since I saw it.

Teri | 48 comments 14. The Glass Castle A Memoir by Jeannette Walls. Best book I have read in a long time. Her story is so amazing sometimes it almost seemed like this couldn't have happen to those children. The story really reminds me of how blessed I am to have such a great family.

Teri | 48 comments 15. Hot Stuff by Janet Evanovich. Cute, fast read.

I am finally jumping on the bandwagon. I started Twilight today.

Teri | 48 comments 16. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. New Moon has been ordered and is on its way!

message 13: by Teri (new)

Teri | 48 comments 17. The World According to Garp by John Irving. First John Irving book I have read. I will be reading more.

message 14: by Teri (new)

Teri | 48 comments 18. The Road by Cormac McCarthy. I am not sure what I think about this one. I had no idea what the book was about and I was a little throw by the setting.

message 15: by Teri (new)

Teri | 48 comments 19. The Bell Jarby Sylvia Plath. I am trying read some classics that I know I should have already read.

Me too! I mix in a classic every few months - I read The Bell Jar a few weeks back myself. I was surprised I enjoyed it as much as I did.

Teri | 48 comments 20. The History of Love A Novel by Nicole Krauss. Beautiful book. Best fiction book I have read in a long time. I really fell in love with the characters. I am sad I have finished it.

message 18: by Teri (new)

Teri | 48 comments 21. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by. J.K. Rowling. I am finally doing it. Let's see if I can finish the series before the last movie comes out!

message 19: by Teri (last edited May 29, 2009 09:46PM) (new)

Teri | 48 comments 22. The Tenth Circle A Novel by Jodi Picoult. I know a lot of people are huge fans of Jodi Picoult. I hate to say it - I hated this book. This is my first book that I have read by Jodi Picoult. I will give her another chance since so many people are in love with her. I will give My Sister's Keeper a try. Hopefully I will like it.

Teri | 48 comments 23. Snow Flower and the Secret Fan A Novel by Lisa See. Good book - foot binding is crazy!

I bet you can- they go fast once you get started! I remember spending almost a whole day reading the 4th one and I had to stop myself because I wanted to spread the fun over more than one day :) Of course, that was sometime during high school when I had considerably more reading time than I do now...

Teri | 48 comments 24. Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. Another classic finally read.

message 23: by Teri (last edited Jun 17, 2009 08:04PM) (new)

Teri | 48 comments 25. Anybody Out There? by Marian Keyes. Good chick lit book. Story does tug at the heart.

I can't believe I made it to 25 before the end of June!!

message 24: by Teri (new)

Teri | 48 comments 26. My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. Loved this book. I am glad I gave Jodi Picoult another try.

message 25: by Teri (new)

Teri | 48 comments 27. Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri. This is a book of short stories. The stories themselves were great but I had a hard time getting into the book. I guess I don't do well with collections of short stories.

message 26: by Teri (new)

Teri | 48 comments 28. The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd. Beautiful book.

message 27: by Teri (last edited Jul 01, 2009 08:46PM) (new)

Teri | 48 comments 29. The Grand Finale by Janet Evanovich. Not a good book. I love Janet Evanovich but this is one of her early, early works and it really shows. Love her Stephanie Plum series though!

message 28: by Teri (new)

Teri | 48 comments 30. The Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs. I really didn't care for this book. I don't understand what all the fuse is about.

message 29: by Teri (new)

Teri | 48 comments 31. The View from Mount Joy A Novel by Lorna Landvik. Good book - I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

message 30: by Teri (new)

Teri | 48 comments 32. The Mermaid Chair by Sue Monk Kidd. Not as good as The Secret Life of Bees but it was still a good book.

message 32: by Teri (new)

Teri | 48 comments 34. Blue Hole Back Home by Joy Jordan-Lake. Great book by not a well-known author.

message 33: by Teri (last edited Aug 16, 2009 10:02PM) (new)

Teri | 48 comments I am reading 5 books right now!! Why do I do this?? Can't I just finish one first??

message 34: by Teri (new)

Teri | 48 comments 35. One for the Money by Janet Evanovich. I love Evanovich and I wanted to start the Stephanie Plum series from the beginning.

36. The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. Loved the book. Now I am ready to see the movie.

message 37: by Teri (new)

Teri | 48 comments 40. Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris. Funny but it really had no point. About halfway through the book, I found the humor annoying.

message 38: by Teri (last edited Oct 21, 2009 08:55PM) (new)

Teri | 48 comments 41. A Wedding in December by Anita Shreve. Interesting turns in plot but the book was just okay.

42. Full House by Janet Evanovich. Not a good book. I must only like the Stephanie Plum's series.

message 40: by Teri (last edited Nov 18, 2009 07:44PM) (new)

Teri | 48 comments 44. Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides. Great book. I give it 4.5 stars. The ending seemed a little rushed but overall it was very well written.

I just started New Moon. I want to read it before I see the movie. I already know too much about the plot from the watching the trailer.

Teri | 48 comments 47. The Red Tent by Anita Diamant. Just thought the book was okay.

Looks like I am not going to make it. Just 3 short. The Christmas season got the best of me. I didn't think I would make it this far though plus I got a late start.
