9. The Mistress's Daughter. Worst book I have read in a very, very long time. Sometimes I wonder how some books even get published.
congrats on 10! Does it amaze you that Patterson writes such diverse stuff? A more cynical person might thing he was several people...

I almost thought I was reading Nicholas Sparks, not James Patterson. I have some more of Patterson to read. So many books, so little time!
12. Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. Great book. A little hard to get into - by chapter three I was hooked.
13. The Bridges of Madison County by Robert James Waller. I received this book free a long time ago and finally got around to reading it. Now I want to see the movie again. It has been years since I saw it.
14. The Glass Castle A Memoir by Jeannette Walls. Best book I have read in a long time. Her story is so amazing sometimes it almost seemed like this couldn't have happen to those children. The story really reminds me of how blessed I am to have such a great family.
15. Hot Stuff by Janet Evanovich. Cute, fast read. I am finally jumping on the bandwagon. I started Twilight today.
17. The World According to Garp by John Irving. First John Irving book I have read. I will be reading more.
18. The Road by Cormac McCarthy. I am not sure what I think about this one. I had no idea what the book was about and I was a little throw by the setting.
19. The Bell Jarby Sylvia Plath. I am trying read some classics that I know I should have already read.

20. The History of Love A Novel by Nicole Krauss. Beautiful book. Best fiction book I have read in a long time. I really fell in love with the characters. I am sad I have finished it.
21. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by. J.K. Rowling. I am finally doing it. Let's see if I can finish the series before the last movie comes out!
22. The Tenth Circle A Novel by Jodi Picoult. I know a lot of people are huge fans of Jodi Picoult. I hate to say it - I hated this book. This is my first book that I have read by Jodi Picoult. I will give her another chance since so many people are in love with her. I will give My Sister's Keeper a try. Hopefully I will like it.

I remember spending almost a whole day reading the 4th one and I had to stop myself because I wanted to spread the fun over more than one day :) Of course, that was sometime during high school when I had considerably more reading time than I do now...
25. Anybody Out There? by Marian Keyes. Good chick lit book. Story does tug at the heart. I can't believe I made it to 25 before the end of June!!
27. Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri. This is a book of short stories. The stories themselves were great but I had a hard time getting into the book. I guess I don't do well with collections of short stories.
29. The Grand Finale by Janet Evanovich. Not a good book. I love Janet Evanovich but this is one of her early, early works and it really shows. Love her Stephanie Plum series though!
30. The Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs. I really didn't care for this book. I don't understand what all the fuse is about.
32. The Mermaid Chair by Sue Monk Kidd. Not as good as The Secret Life of Bees but it was still a good book.
I am reading 5 books right now!! Why do I do this?? Can't I just finish one first??
35. One for the Money by Janet Evanovich. I love Evanovich and I wanted to start the Stephanie Plum series from the beginning. 36. The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. Loved the book. Now I am ready to see the movie.
37. The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides. I really enjoyed this book. 38. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon.
40. Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris. Funny but it really had no point. About halfway through the book, I found the humor annoying.
41. A Wedding in December by Anita Shreve. Interesting turns in plot but the book was just okay.42. Full House by Janet Evanovich. Not a good book. I must only like the Stephanie Plum's series.
44. Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides. Great book. I give it 4.5 stars. The ending seemed a little rushed but overall it was very well written.I just started New Moon. I want to read it before I see the movie. I already know too much about the plot from the watching the trailer.
45. New Moon by Stephenie Meyer. Starting the next one . . .46. Eat, Pray, Love One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia by Elizabeth Gilbert
47. The Red Tent by Anita Diamant. Just thought the book was okay.Looks like I am not going to make it. Just 3 short. The Christmas season got the best of me. I didn't think I would make it this far though plus I got a late start.
