I decided sometime after book six that I was going to just wait until all the books came out and read them then, because honestly I got sick of Zoey and her utter bullshit. Every book was the same, the failed attempts at a plot were just plain annoying now. And her never ending boy troubles make me want to hit my head against a wall until I pass out.

They aren't worth waiting for. When they're all out and the series is finished, maybe I'll think about reading them all in one go, just because I hate leaving a series unfinished. But really, if you want my advice, then just don't get into it in the first place. And if you can get out, do it.

It seem that everyone hates Zoey which is understandable she is annoying and whiny. But I have notice what only the people she wants to screw seems to be worth forgiving. Like stark, Heath and now that bull dude. But Erin the girl that been with them from day one is a lost cause. really? I read now to see what they gonna do bout her.lol

Oh my god! It's so bad but its so addicting! Like I wannaknow what's gonna happen in the end...BUT GOT DAMN! WHEN IS GONNA END! I have read all the way to book 10 and it was a true struggle for me to get to the end of that book. But my advice I agree with everyone. DON'T DO IT!

I honestly say you just stop, there is way to many books, and its like the same thing over and over again, I got bored off them by like the 5th book, and I stopped.

I have to say I actually enjoyed the mini stories about Dragon, Leb, and Nef more than the others I've read so far. But if it wasn't for goodwill books and borrowing from the library I would have stopped reading awhile ago.

I'm kind of of glad I saw this on my homepage... I've been reading the series for awhile, and I always thought it waould end after awhile, but it's reallllly been dragged out. I've been wondering if I should keep reading, too. In terms of plot, it wasn't bad ever, but... the boy troubles? MY GOD it got ridiculous! The characters had a tendency to bug me too, and the language was just too much. But they're all exciting books, and they definitey feed you with romance q:

To each his own really. I am enjoying the books. I am finished book 6 and will read till the series is over. Yeah Zoey can be annoying but I really enjoy all the sideline characters, Aphrodite keeps it real. There are a few things I want to see being played out so I will keep reading.

I stopped at book 3 I think? Complete waste of time. You can't even class it as teenage angst. She's just irritating and whiny. I wouldn't bother if I were you. By all the comments, I'm really glad I didn't bother with the rest of the books

i stopped halfway through book 5. I couldnt bear it anymore, it was becoming a chore to read, it was dragged out and i couldnt relate to Zoey the Whore

I stopped at book 4 and I think I ended it too late... it just wasn't worth my time.

I actually enjoyed the series at first but after a while it became tedious. I think that the problem with this series is that it's just too long. I've read till the 11th book because i cannot leave a series incomplete and it was a challenge getting there. I got really bored of Zoey's never ending boy drama after the 5th book. Neferet reminds me of Lord Voldemort from Harry Potter. She just doesn't want to disappear. Don't get me wrong though, I absolutely love the Harry Potter series with all my heart and the difference is that the story line is more interesting, unlike the house of night series. My advice to anyone who hasn't started reading this series yet and wants to is to just stay as far away from it as possible. It'll make you want to claw your eyes out.

I told myself that i will finish all the books.
I take book's from library and there were only 7 books there, so i asked them to buy more parts, and i need to wait one week for those books..

Dude no.. I got so sick of these books after the first 5 I think.. It's just the same thing over and over. She has like 87 boyfriends to choose from, screws something up, and then fixes it. It also ruined the series for me after I talked to the author (she taught at my high school while she was writing this series) and she is not very nice and very full of herself. For one when I complimented her books by saying how good they were (I was just being polite), she responded with "Oh I know!" so that bugged me. I have also heard that she claims that Stephanie Meyer copied HER to write Twilight.. Honey no she wrote them first, get over yourself. So after I got to know the author, I really just couldn't get into the books anymore.

They admitted it earlier on that the series was going be 12 books long. Did not mention the novellas until I saw them on a website (along with the graphic novels and... coloring book?)

But yeah... In the end of the day though it's your choice. we can't really tell you what to read or not read. Everyone has different taste and opinions.

If you want to keep going until the end, wait until the final book comes out, then get them from your nearest public library. The books are getting smaller and smaller, and they're still costing the same, and nothing is happening in them. They could have combined the last three, cut out all of the filler in them, and made one decent length book with an actual plot.

i read much more of this series then i should of cuz i thought " its a popular series it has to get better, right?" NO! WRONG save yourself the disappointment.

Wait until the final book comes out, and read that, but you can probably skip all the books in between.

I doubt you'll lose much plot, except that Zoey has angst, everyone loves her, Nerefet is evil, the nerd herd spend all their time gossiping. Oh, and constant references to current pop culture which will age the previous books horribly despite the short time frame. Did I miss anything?

Even though I feel the series has been dragged out, i'm still going to read until the end just to find out what happens. I think there are only 2 more books coming out.

This series is dragged out way to long like so much unesscessary stuff happened. The only reason why i keep reading the series is because I feel weird not finishing a series. And i bought all the books which i kinda or regret now. Plus all the characters got anoying especially Stevie Rae. This series needs to end. It's not good anymore.

No don't keep going it sucks in my opinion. But someone I know really enjoyed it so I guess it's entirely up to you. If you don't like it so far just stop, because it doesn't get any better.

I read up to the last book in the series, although after about book 7 it was a real struggle. The storyline just didn't really grab me after that. I kept waiting to get sucked back into th story, but it never happened.

YAH YOU SHOULD KEEP READING! i admit. Book 8, Burned, was a less captivating as the others, but's it's still good! I just prefer Zoey's POV alot.

But it depends on you. If you like series about vampyres, romance, and adventure then you should keep reading(: if you dont like it, then you dont have to

I gave up after 10, i think Trust me, it's not worth your time. There are better characters in other books to invest your time in. All Zoey truly cares about is sex, gossip and backstabbing. It just kept going in a circle, Zoey finds a new guy, they have sex, they is some problem...but it's not as important as this gossip about Stevie Ray or whatever. I got really sick of it so i just stopped. I advise you to do the same.

The constant dragging is annoying and the constant repeat of who the characters are. There is a constant summary of all the books before on the first pages of each book.That freaking annoys me. I don't know if that because they are stalling or they just repeating for new readers. You should never read a random book in a series. Read the books in the correct order. It too much repetition and honestly, a load of things are starting to become very stupid and whiny. We only need one point of view. It may be okay for there to be many point of views in one book but for every book after that, come on something gotta change. Should have just had the series be in third person so that we can get an overview of everything. The book needs to hurry up and end. Not too much more that could possibly be happening.

Dont even bother thinking about it! I stopped on book 7 becuase the authors said that they are going to make 15 books in total!!

I followed the series till Destined and after that i just gave up. The story doesnt even go anywhere and im sick of Zoey's attitude and the whole neferet thing is getting out of hand. I think p c cast got confused midway and added unnecessary details. We all know how its gonna end eventually so I think you can ditch the rest of em

I got sick of it after book 4. It wasn't just because of Zoey though. It was the whole package that was just so dull. Every book was almost the same. I am one of those people who has to finish a series even if they don't like it, but this is the first time I made an exception. Not worth reading. Get out while you can!!
