Kevin McLeod (vikingsapprentice) | 13 comments I love this idea for one very good reason. My book, The Viking's Appretnice , has loads of reviews on Amazon.co.uk. all 5 stars I am happy to report. However it has only 1 review on Amazon.com and Amazon.CA.
I would love to do review swaps and will be happy to purchase books from other authors on this post.

Book info is here

22 out of 22 5 star reviews across goodreads and Amazon.

Germanio Puglio | 18 comments Hello. I am writing to promote my e-book “Lost at Glassy Sea, by Germanio Puglio. It is a historical Romance/Fiction. IT IS FREE UNTIL JULY 17th! Here is a short description:

"Lost at Sea" is a novel which follows the lives of a young, modern treasure-hunting couple, as well as the life of a seventeenth-century teenage girl, Emma, who is accidentally deserted by her father while their cargo ship is raided by pirates. Emma is forced to live with a ship full of buccaneers for two months. She finally escapes them and gives birth to a child conceived during her unwilling confinement. Both stories end with the protagonists finding eventual happiness, contentment, and prosperity. Includes 53 chapters, with a description of 17th-century Port Royal. Contains some mature content. Recommended for age 17+.

Here is an excerpt:

“Captain Fontaine rubbed his eyes in disbelief. Coming through the choppy waves were about a dozen canoes. The were dangerously rocking back and forth in the water. The men in the canoes began shooting at his ship. A few of the crew of the Anne-Marie were shot with muskets, and fell into the water. The crew that was still alive quickly pulled up the anchor, so that their ship could flee. As they toiled, the mainsheet and brace were shot away, and the ship turned helplessly into the wind. Feeling that they had no choice, the sailors began to raise a white rag next to the French flag that rippled above them in the rain and wind. The Anne-Marie had surrendered.

I had fun writing it, and it was inspired by my love of pirate stories.

If you want more excerpts, I could give them out!

I want to read your book, so I put it on my wish list and I will be glad to exchange reviews with you. You have four books from the Baker family saga to choose from:

I just got a terrible review for Deep Trouble because I was way too vocal about the character's saturation in scripture - normal for Presbyterians in that day and age. It was an honest review, so I'm satisfied.

You need an amazon author page and a Facebook page so we can "like" them and keep in touch. You have some good reviews already, but I will be glad to write another for you. I may have to wait till the middle of August before I can buy a copy and read your book, but I'm looking forward to it.

My name is Kait Neese and I am the creator of this wonderful group of ours! I work full time with my publishing firm and work this ŷ group as a side project because I really do love the concept of authors being in charge of their own success. However I have a responsibility/duty to my direct authors and my employers to make sure that comes first - which I am sure you can understand.

I have so enjoyed watching this group grow and authors around the world coming together to help one another out. So a big thank you to everyone out there who is taking their success into their own hands and realizing other authors are not the enemy and that working together will take you so much further than working against one another. (Ok ok end of cheesy moment, smile)

I posted a thread a few months ago about what three things matter most to you, as an author, that a publisher could do to help you out. Really help you out. I had some great feedback and really appreciate the comments made! (The post can be found by clicking here: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...)

That being said I noticed a few authors mentioned distribution as something they would like publishers to help out more with. I do quite a bit of traveling to international book fairs and specialize in helping authors and sm/medium sized publishers “go global.

I will be hosting a webinar on book rights (translation rights) and distribution into China on August 6th at 2:00 pm EST. I wanted to give my appreciation and gratitude to all of the authors in this group for their continued dedication and participation on these threads so I thought this might be a really cool thing to do. (Free of charge of course : )

Please see my latest thread for more information on what we will be discussing and how to sign up here: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...

Hope you can make it!

Debra Ann Miller | 16 comments Hi All!

What a great idea! My debut received some harsh reviews because I made the mistake of allowing my husband to do the edits! It didn't take long before I realized this error in judgement and I found a wonderfully talented editor who helped me revamp Descended. Of course not before I offered it for free and had over 5,000 downloads and Descended got hammered by the "grammar police." I guess you could say I like to learn things the hard way.

I can promise you that Descended is is perfect shape now and I am hoping to get some honest reviews that reflect the story as it was intended.

My debut novel, Descended (Fallen Guardian Saga #1) is available for FREE today, 7/31-8/1, on Amazon. If you like YA paranormal romance novels click here:

I'm game for reading and reviewing novels that appeal to me and I'm happy to give an honest review. I will be checking out the links here to see what books are "up my alley." If Descended appeals to anyone here I hope you'll do the same!

What a great way to finish off the Summer. Happy Reading!

The book is written as a dual-language book and is intended to teach new words and phrases in a foreign language. It is available for $2.99 with translations in French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian and Japanese at this link:

I am wondering how one can change the price or offer it for free on Amazon for a promotional time?

Robert,
As promised I did purchase and have just completed reading your book "Look Not Unto The Morrow" My review is has been written and will be posted on your Amazon page shortly.

Having some first hand knowledge of the era and the subject I found it a little haunting, interesting, a little controversial -- in short it is written very well, compelling and recommended as a 5 star "good read."
I to found the government of that time weak and irresponsible but the demonstrations, well intended misdirected. Several atrocities were committed during the time as is the case in all wars. They were not as suggested the par for the war. In my opinion the demonstrations and lack of support by the citizenship that if had been pointed in the right direction could have ended the war sooner, saving hundreds of thousands of fellow humans regardless of countries serving. What a sad time that was for the human race. Thanks for the read. Gene

" I have been enjoying exchanging books to read and review. I think the opportunities for us to help each other here are worthwhile.

My book, the paperback edition anyway is kind of pricy I questioned my publisher about that but because I insisted on the pictures he said it couldn't be done for less. That is why I added the E-book version which does have a reasonable price 9.99. I would very much like to continue sharing books and reviews and likes with anyone interested:
