Kevin Xu (kxu65) | 530 comments You know what to do. Post the books you are reading for the fourth month of the year.

message 2: by Bryan (new)

Bryan I'm going to finish the Amber series, and I'm also going to pick up and devour Blood Of Dragons by Robin Hobb when it comes out next week.

message 3: by Jay (new)

Jay (jaycadiramen) I've just started Pawn of Prophecy by David Eddings, the first book in the Belgariad. I read it when I was in my early teens and am really enjoying rereading it.

message 4: by Stacy Renee (last edited Apr 02, 2013 02:58PM) (new)

Stacy Renee (LazyDayLit) (stacyrenee) I'm currently reading 'James and the Giant Peach' by Roald Dahl since today is International Children's Book Day. :)
Also, Delirium, Pandemonium, and Requiem by Lauren Oliver,
Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones
Storybound by Marissa Burt

and probably a lot more after that but I'm not thinking that far ahead. I know that's not all fantasy, though. Sorry.

message 5: by Graham (new)

Graham (crimegods) Just finished The Way of Kings, and am starting the preview to the lies of Locke Lemora... Probably gonna pick that right up tomorrow before work because I prefer physical copies over reading on my ipad. Been a bit slow lately due to my first time house buying search soaking up so much of my time, but now is a real good time to buy so I am on the hunt!

message 6: by Alannah (new)

Alannah Pearson (leanbhpearson) I'm reading The City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare. I'm quite surprised by how much I enjoy it! I loved The City of Bones and this is equally as good. A strange mixture of human characters and inhuman situations to a backdrop of beautiful descriptive writing.

message 7: by Lindsey (new)

Lindsey | 124 comments Just finished A Rising Thunder last night and started Shadow of Freedom. After that, it's Twelve Tribes of Hattie for my real-life book club.

Then it's choices, choices... the new Anne Bishop book, Written in Red, which is winging it's way to me now? Mary Robinette Kowal's latest, Without a Summer, which came out yesterday and is already in my ereader? And I should really get around to restarting Ship of Destiny!

message 8: by Joseph (new)

Joseph | 1651 comments Finished Prince of Wolves by Dave Gross and just started the second Pathfinder novel, Winter Witch by Elaine Cunningham.

message 9: by Malcolm (new)

Malcolm (malcolm_campbell) I'm reading the new Terri Windling/Ellen Datlow collection of gaslamp fantasy short stories called "Queen Victoria's Book of Spells." Good stuff.

Malcolm

message 13: by Razmatus (new)

Razmatus | 208 comments will be finishing Conquest by S.Binns, then I will probably move onto Poslední přání (Zaklínač, #1) by Andrzej Sapkowski and Svaté války by Tyerman (czech translation of Tyerman's treatise on the history of crusades :)

message 14: by Elise (new)

Elise (ghostgurl) | 1022 comments Read The Great Gatsby. Didn't like it too much apart from the ending.

Still reading The Fall of Hyperion and Watership Down. Enjoying them both. :)

message 15: by Joseph (new)

Joseph | 1651 comments And wrapped up Plague of Shadows (what can I say? Wednesday is my Official Day o' Mostly Reading) and just started Carpathia by Matt Forbeck, which looks like it'll be fun -- did you know one of the survivors rescued from the Titanic was a vampire? Get them wet and they're even worse than cats.

message 16: by Anna-louise (new)

Anna-louise | 81 comments I am reading currently The Girl Who Fell Beneath Fairyland and Led the Revels There Valente its a brilliantly poetic writer. I'm struggling sticking to one book at the moment, having half read Good omens and Hounded! Hopefully can finish those this month too.

message 17: by Jed (new)

Jed Moomaw I am reading Robin Hobbs newest book Blood of Dragons.

message 18: by Joseph (new)

Joseph | 1651 comments Finished Carpathia, which was a lot of fun (and to correct myself, it wasn't a Titanic survivor who was a vampire; the Carpathia was infested by them, come to find out) and started The Door to Saturn, the second volume of the collected short stories of Clark Ashton Smith.

message 19: by Tara (new)

Tara (tarabookreads) I'm reading "The Blinding Knife" by Brent Weeks and "Fool Moon" by Jim Butcher

LOL! Sounds fun.

If it's any consolation, while I loved the first book, I haven't quite gotten around to reading either the second or the short story yet, so I'm an even worse fan.

message 26: by Justin (new)

Justin Davis (justindavis098) Read Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson
Reading Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson
Will followup with Dragon Bone Chair by Tad Williams :)

message 29: by Cerys (new)

Cerys Lys (cerysdulys) I'm going to be reading The Hunger Games sort of soon(it was on back order and I wanted the paperback, but I should get it next week), and then I'm going to see about grabbing some of the "book of the month" books from the Goodread groups I'm in(I don't think all of them are fantasy, though).

message 30: by Elise (new)

Elise (ghostgurl) | 1022 comments Finished The Fall of Hyperion last night. Enjoyed it just as much as the first. Onto the third Endymion

message 31: by Komal (new)

Komal (k0k0) The Fellowship of the Ring (The Lord of the Rings, #1) by J.R.R. Tolkien

Quite a slow-paced book, but it's gaining potential with the turn of every page.
