I tried the USA and walked away...instead I did the 79 piece stars 13:21. And now I'm seeing stars, LOL!

message 654: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Oh, I haven't tried stars yet.

Megan (celtic_girl) | 728 comments I did Rebecca's in the USA cut too. It was a little hard, but a lot of fun! My time was 4:47. (view spoiler)

Stars are tough - and it's bad because I have so much white on my bookshelf. I need to find books with more colorful covers.

message 657: by Vi (new)

Vi | 1726 comments I tried the USA and walked off. I don't know the shapes that much.

I tried the 35 piece Jig zone and that was ok. I did in 4:41. I need to invest in a mouse (or so I tell myself)

ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods) | 226 comments Puzzles are fun!

Where did you get all those doublets from? I must have more, LOL!

And I know there are word search generators around but which ones do you like to use? I'm silly and want to create my own word searches of book titles or whatever just for fun, lol.

And I have not been able to find a mixed-up cover tile/scramble thingy like the one you posted for A Discovery of Witches -- where could i find something like that??

Thanks :)

I bought a program that makes them. But, some of them aren't that great, as there are a lot of adjectives. Hard to come up with a definition without giving the word away.

message 662: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments The tile scrabble one took me forever to find. I wrote it down, but can't find that piece of paper of the website.

Oh, okay. I bet I could find some random doublet generators or lists or something online somewhere if I tried hard enough. Thanks!

message 666: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Yes, there are a couple, but they want you to download a bunch of other of their programs.

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5196 comments LK, I count 19 for Electric Lime and 7 for Blast Off Bronze, and the rest are correct. :)

I changed all cupcakes and names to "1" and then did a sum formula to get those totals. Doubled checked the original spreadsheet to make sure I didn't skip any cupcakes in EL and BOB

message 669: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments I still only get 8 for B-o-B.

message 670: by Cathie (new)

Cathie (catitude) | 999 comments Totals diagonally across per each team all good, except #8, you have 21 cupcakes and I've counted it 3 times and only see 19 (Electric Lime Team)

message 671: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Now I only get 7 for B-o-B. LOL!

message 672: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Okay, Cathie. What about Blast Off Bronze? 7? 8?

message 673: by Steven (new)

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5196 comments Totally what I meant (7 for Bronze)

message 674: by Steven (new)

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5196 comments Hmmm, 28 puzzles, divided by 7 = 4 book advantage points? :D

message 675: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Okay. Changed B-o-B to 7. Thanks, Steven & Cathie.

message 676: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Hmmmm... maybe. But do you think I'm going to make it that straight-forward?

message 677: by Eni (new)

Eni | 2349 comments nop i don't. and i was just wondering about the cupcakes and how you never said anything about them again =O

message 678: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments I was going to save it for June 1st, but people were getting so stressed over the challenge. So... I thought I'd give you a hint.

message 679: by Cathie (new)

Cathie (catitude) | 999 comments Yep, only 7 for BOB ~ sorry missed that (all these eyes and we can't see the forest for the trees, lol).

message 681: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Yeah, I checked it several times and I was going cross-eyed, Cathie. LOL!

message 682: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments I can double check, Eni. If you can figure out who I'm looking for. LOL!

message 683: by Steven (new)

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5196 comments I'm out of guesses if it's less straight-forward than that. X)

ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý

There will be more opportunities to get cupcakes though-out the year.

For the 7% Solution Challenge, seven cupcakes = can replace
ÌýÌýÌý any book needed in any of the categories. If you use 7 cupcakes to replace one book,
ÌýÌýÌýthen you only need to read 48 more books as a Team.

Captains, when you submit your finished category, just indicate you are using seven of
ÌýÌýÌýyour cupcakes by posting "Seven " in the appropriate spot.
Are you ready for more? Because I do NOT want to overwhelm you, but there is more good news.

Take a deep, cleansing breath; let it out; clear your brain.

If there are seven Captains who want to hear more, let me know. Otherwise, I’ll wait to tell you the rest on June 1st.

You decide.
