Please be sure to show that you worked the puzzle; do NOT just post the bookcover. Thank you.

I can do it, I guess. I have no idea what you mean :D

I meant I don't know what's "Mean Green". If that's not problem, sure I can be your test bunny
PUZZLE #14 - Doublets from "Blood to Water"
Please DO NOT post solution here. Mail to [email protected] With Puzzle # in subject line. Be sure to tell me what Team you are on, though I have most of you memorized!
Doublets were word-link puzzles first created by Lewis Carroll. Changing only one letter at a time, and using the clues along the side, go from "blood" to "blood"... or vice versa!

From “blood to “water.
Blood
- to be deep in thought; meditate
- wide in extent from side to side
- a staple food made from flour
- to produce (offspring); give birth to or hatch
- not imprisoned or enslaved; being at liberty
- a liberator or emancipator
- a young chicken suitable for frying
- a curious person (variant spelling)
- a person who pays
- British public school slang word for father; now chiefly used facetiously
Water -

It says '22 piece wavy' but I can't seem to make it larger if I use tinypic.com, and it took me 2:41.

For team Mango Tango:

~ Mean Green ~
Find the duplicates, there are fourteen. The books that are posted more than once are featuring the same covers as well as titles.
Two books are listed twice. There are at least two tricky ones, so check the titles.
Three books are listed thrice,
Then four books are there times four,
And five books times five, no more!

I'm not sure, Eni. I did put the puzzle out there for other people to do, if they want. Or maybe it is someone in the regular NBRC group, as this link was in the newsletter.

Holy guacamole! That is a LOT of green!

FOFLMBO! Perfect use of the word "guacamole," Teresa!
Yes, it is! It might take more than one Team member to do it.

I couldn't resist. ;)
I'm almost finished! Staring at that for 30 minutes or so has made all of the covers blend together so I'm taking a break and then I'll tackle the last grouping I need!

Okay, if you want to take a break, Teresa. However, you're in a race to be the absolutely, positively very first, as I just sent one person back to the drawing board.

We have a first place - Rebecca L (NJ) of Moonstone was the first to send in the
"Mean Green"
puzzle! Woohoo!
(view spoiler)
Guacamole for you!
