Diane Griffith | 40 comments Hi Kerry.
I just posted my four books (MS) on Kindle Direct Publishing. (KDP) They were all on Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com. but were not selling because the publishers (AEG) had priced them too high. Now they are selling since I have priced them at $1.99.
You can see them all on:

Then I wrote another book about all the ill-treated dogs I have saved and feral cats, with lots of photos and posted it directly on the same KDP
It's called, 'Nobody's Pets' In Cyprus. (Amazon Kindle)
Since the proceeds from ALL my books help these poor dogs & cats I have cut out the expense of editing and the publisher, and I can put my own price on my books. :-) Hope this helps. You just follow the instructions. It's easy! Good luck! (I just wish I could get a few kind reviews on any of my books!):-(

Diane Griffith | 40 comments I just uploaded the word document and followed the instructions on KDP. I did not need a template. I wouldn't be able to use one!

Rinelle Grey (rinellegrey) Joel Friedlander has word templates for kindle books. He's has a huge self-publishing website, and it's worth a look.

Mandelyn Kilroy (mandelynkilroy) | 12 comments For those of you looking to self publish I just had an independent publisher take me on they are going to handle all the e-book and print publishing, as well as handle a great deal of the marketing, and they only make money if they make me money which is great. Check them out of interested they are an amazing group.

I would be a little cautious about this site. Their 'about' page has several gramatical errors and it doesn't look very professional in terms of web design. I certainly wouldn't trust them to proof read an MS.

Elijah Clark (elijahclark) | 12 comments Gotta agree with Rik here. The site alone isn't worth it. If you want someone to handle your marketing and branding, be sure that theirs is good first.
