I know! Saw your review. I"m in the middle of it now and about to finish. Really enjoying it so far. Any book that has my husband reading and excited makes me eager to finish it.

Was it the setting, characters, or narrative you couldn't get into, or maybe a combination of both?
For me it was a pretty quick read. In the end I even got pretty emotional during that final battle (I won't spoil it for those who didn't finish). It is easy to get lost in some of the students, I got confused with all of them since he moved around from toon to toon. I still felt it was really well written.
My biggest issue was the very end felt rushed as if Card wanted to quickly resolve Ender and Valentine's life.

I liked the book for what it was, but my biggest pet peeve in stories is when a child can save the world. I just need it to be a little bit more believable than that. I had to suspend my disbelief way too much in order to keep on reading.
My favorite part of Ender's Game was how creepy the game he played on his computer was. I liked how he was able to go through further. It reminded me of a secret level in a video game.
There's a sequel to Ender's Game, but it didn't seem interesting to me. Oh well. I hope the movie turns out well. I can't wait to hear everyone else's opinions ^^
Note: Questions for the live Skype/Twitch discussion will be posted on a separate thread, but like our last discussion I'll read comments/questions from various book club members who have posted on any of the related threads.
