This is for a buddy read of the Wool series by Hugh Howey. Everyone is welcome to join. We keep it casual, read at your own pace, but make sure you use spoiler tags when necessary!

The first sentence pulled me in to this one! "The children were playing while Holston climbed to his death; he could hear them squealing as only happy children do."

What?!

I know, same with me Karen! I was hooked within a paragraph! Love the style of writing, too. SO far, I finished the first part of the story. (view spoiler)[That was so horrible, him watching his wife die like that. And then he felt hope for a short while, until he finds out it was all an illusion. What a mean, horrible trick! Tempting! I bought the book a couple months ago but haven't started it yet.

Seriously! (view spoiler)[Once I finished the story with the HUGE freaking twist, then I wanted to know about this world. And what was wrong with the air. And why did they clean. And, and, and... What an interesting world! And each book gives you more and more glimpses. (hide spoiler)]

I bought the paperback on this one. Hope I can participate. Reading Joyland right now.

60% in to the Omnibus and loving it!!! I love how (view spoiler)[ you get glimpses through so many different eyes. At first I thought Lukas was being an idiot, but I the I just found out he's talking to Jules through the radio, yay!!! It's horrible how the IT people are using better weapons and slaughtering the greasers :( (hide spoiler)]

I absolutely LOVE this book, it was my favourite 2012 read :D

I just finished... again, for the 3rd time. I was only planning on reading Wool 1 with the group. I finished the entire audio in about 4 days which is a record for me considering it's almost 18 hours long.

I have the Shift books (Silo 2) so I'll start rereading those next. Shift is the prequel which tells you how everything came to be. Dust (Silo 3) releases on the 17th I think. Soon.

Yes, there's more! Shift is also an omnibus made up of 3 books! Dust is the end and is just one book.

Just starting the second part. I was so shocked with the first one that I just had to get the rest.
We're out camping this weekend, so not sure how much reading I'll be getting in.

Its okay, Sherry, I loaded the second one but it will probably be a few days before I get to it :)

Finished!! Loved the ending!!! I did get a bit bogged down toward the end with excessive details but the ending was so worth it! I'll wait for you all to catch up :)

Just starting part 4, aye yi yi, what the heck is going on??! I'm liking this book a lot, but since we're on holidays it's taking me a lot longer than usual to read.

I have the book Wool with 5 parts. I'm in, just let me know when we're starting. I will have it read in a day. I may have to keep doing my rereads on Vampire Academy and the Bloodlines series.

Aww this buddy read is all finished! But if you read this one and get the next Omnibus we're about to start a buddy read of the sequel, Shift!

Ok, wich book is this one. I'm not sure if I know wich one it is. Also, I am not getting all my updates for the group's that I'm in. Does anyone have a email address or number to contact the ladies that's in charge of GoodRead? There's two groups that I'm in and nothing will be there. I will get the email that's suppose to have every groups updates but this is the only group that I get some of the things that have been discussed but I don't even get everything that I should. I'm sorry if I'm not up to date on everything in the group but that's the biggest reason, ohh and I'm reading

This buddy read is the Wool omnibus, which we did a while back. We just started the buddy read for the sequel, the Shift Omnibus :)

Hmm, I think you can go to your account and click Help and there's contact info there. I hate when the updates don't work!
