Anyone else confused by the ending where Abdullah and Howl know each other? Perhaps I wasn't reading carefully enough because it whizzed right past me and now I'm confused :/ Does anyone have any answers/ideas?

The genie that is with Abdullah was Howl. That's how they knew each other.
