10.5. Found in Translation.

The Azure dragon is known by different names in different Asian countries. Read a book that was translated from the language in which it was originally published. REQUIRED: State the language in which the book was originally published and the language in which you read it.

If it was originally written in English and you read it in Polish, sure. However, I noticed that the one you linked to doesn't indicate anything about a translator or that it was translated from one language to another. If GR doesn't indicate this, you should ask for help from a librarian to get the edition you read fully indicated.

Judy wrote: "Would Mythology work for this task? The myths are translated to English, but there isn't a "translator" listed on the GR data. Thanks!"

The question is really not whether the myths were originally told in another language, but whether the book was written in another language. I think Edith Hamilton wrote in English.

Looks good, Alexsandra! Since that's there, it will be easier for Kristi to see that it's a translator.

Anne (Booklady) Molinarolo (wwwgoodreadscomAnneMolinarolo) | 754 comments May I read A New Song for the Lord Faith in Christ and Liturgy Today by Pope Benedict XVI ? The Holy Father first wrote it in German as my edition says before it was translated into English. Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ does not say what language it was translated from, though.

Thank you.

That's fine. The English edition shows that it was translated, so clearly must have been written in a language other than English......and I assume you're reading it in English!

I'm in a bit of the same boat with a book translated from English to French.

I would like to read La momie by Anne Rice.

The translator is not listed, however is it clear enough as it is or do I need to contact someone about that? I'm still fairly new to Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ so if I need to contact someone about updated details, how do I go about that?

Thank you!

You'll need to have something added to show that this was translated. You can post in the GR librarian thread, or in our own SRC thread for librarian help. http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/3....

Our SRC members are the BEST about helping get these book listings straight for use in the challenge.

Thank you for the help- I'll update when the translator's name is added.

Does this book work? I think this rule applies as well.

6. Books with at least 100 pages whose main page lists any of these genres: Sequential Art, Comics, Comic Book, or Manga may only be used for 5, 10, and 15 point tasks.

Thanks for your help

Laura | 102 comments If I understand correctly, if we read a book in its original language (e.g., a book originally written in French that is read in French) that would NOT count, right? Even if the book has been translated but I simply chose to read it in the original version? We have to read a translated version? Just want to make sure I am clear.
