Once again, I am going on vacation right after posting tasks - hmmm.............I hate to think my life is so tied to the SRC! I should have internet access to respond to questions, but if I'm a little slow, please be patient.

Yes. I will amend the task to allow historical fiction or history to work.

It has History and Non fiction on its main page. It is absolutely set before I was born!!

Yeah, I don't think we'll challenge you on that, LOL! And, really, I figure that if anyone uses a book that took place >100 years ago, I'm sure not going to ask them to prove that it's before they were born!

Just wanna get this approved :D It's definitely set before I was born (almost 100yrs, but not quite), and historical fiction is actually on the main page this time >_>

as long as it's actually on the main page, it's fine.

Sure. You'll want to link to the single edition as well, for page purposes and such - just point out in your post that the genre is listed with the single book and that it was approved here.
sounds interesting, too - we went on a walking tour of London's East End last year, and it has a fascinating history!

Sure.
I just wish they'd explain what they're doing with all this.

Yes, that's what they said, but that doesn't really make any sense - the genre box only disappeared from some books, and then it came back for some of those books, then disappeared again.

It is nonfiction and currently has history on its main page (one vote).
Thank you!

It's fine for genre. Don't know how old you are, but keep in mind that it has to be set at a time before you were born.

Angle of Repose
It's about a man who is writing his grandmother's history, and the story moves back and forth from past to present. I would say well over half the book takes place in the late 1800's during his grandmother's young to middle-aged years. (And historical fiction is the first genre on the main page.)

On November 3, we set the clocks back an hour in most of the United States. Go back in time, and read a novel with the genre historical fiction or history on its main page or a nonfiction book with the genre history on its main page. The book you read must be set in/about a time period before you were born.
REQUIRED: You don't have to tell us your age ;), but please explain briefly how your book fits the task requirement..
