Read a book written by an author whose first name is in the first half (A-M) of the alphabet

AND

A book written by an author whose last name is in the second half (N-Z) of the alphabet

OR

Yes, it works if it's combined with a book written by an author whose last name is in the second half (N-Z) of the alphabet.

Jennifer W | 466 comments Just to check, an author who uses an initial for their first name will qualify? I'm thinking of using J.K. Rowling to fulfill both options in one.

Yes, initials are fine. J.K. Rowling (writing as J.K. Rowling) would work for the one book option.
