UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Well, Summer is coming to a close, and Fall is just around the corner. What was your favorite Summer read, and what made it so special?

Paganalexandria | 354 comments I read a lot of great books this summer, so this question is hard. After looking at my 5 star reads, my favorite surprisingly was Dance For Me (Fenbrook Academy, #1) by Helena Newbury . This offered as an ARC so imagine my delight with finding a unique contemporary novel featuring a ballet dancer and design engineer. The hero was well off, but not a billionaire. The writer also made his job a pivotal part of the story. Research and detail was included about both or their professions. The angst was believable too. This is also a good read for anyone looking for non-kink. It was sexy but nothing out the box.

I'm enjoying the Immortals After Dark series by Kresley Cole reread we are doing this summer on the IAD group. it's great to revisit this series and realize it is just as brilliant and enjoyable the second time around, and to get reacquainted with each of the couples again.

Oooooh, that sounds good! And it sounds like a refreshing twist on contemporary romance. What are the ages of the hero and heroine?

It sounds good. I don't have much of a budget for buying books right now, but I'll add it to my wishlist.

I'm currently re-reading both Pamela Clare's I-Team, and Kristen Ashley's Rock Chick series, and am loving them even more the second time around! This is quite a feat considering I loved them like crazy the first time I read them!

That's always a good thing when a reread stands up to scrutiny. I did the GhostWalkers last summer and it just made me love them even more.

I remember you doing that re-read! I was so jealous because I not have them in ebook and it's too hard on my eyes to read paperbacks for any length of I me.

I remember the guy was about 25 and the girl was a little younger.

I splurged a few months ago and got all the GW ebooks on Kindle. I had to justify myself before I did it because they were good bundles, but I eventually caved. Some nights when I can't sleep, I reread parts of the books on my Kindle. :)

So more New Adult than CR?
