How do you add page #'s to the bottom of your manuscript in Word 2010 - without borders - and I want to start the page #'ing when the actual story starts, not on the title pages.

Ugh...please help.

Amber (amosby) | 24 comments You add a footer and then insert page numbers

I tried that. I'm doing something wrong. It either repeats #1 on every page or it puts a border above the page #.

Amber (amosby) | 24 comments When you go to insert you don't have the option to click "insert page number"? You don't even need to use a footer for that one

Gabriel Argonne (gabrielargonne) | 2 comments I forget where the option is, but it is in the page number section, and it allows you to start with something other than 1

Hi Amber, I do have that option, but there is no option for just page #s. I don't want a line and that's what it's giving me.

Hi Gabriel, thank you, but I tried this. It's not working. Maybe my word is jacked up?
