Laurel Rogers (laurel6) | 20 comments After reading this amazing tale around 40 years ago, I decided to take on The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster once again. The adventures of Milo and Tock are as intriguing as they are enchanting, even as I take in the book's messages now. The protagonists travel through the "Mountains of Ignorance," as well as the "Sea of Knowledge," among many other destinations. The characters they meet along their way are absolutely unforgettable.
The Phantom Tollbooth is a life lesson for the young, but I am learning much more as an adult. Highly recommended.

Maria | 117 comments I finished Mary Higgins Clark's final novel Piece of My Heart by Mary Higgins Clark . What a satisfyingly breezy, entertaining read. Perfect in-front-of-the-fire-during-the-holidays read. I will miss the annual publication of a MHC book. RIP, dear lady.
