This is a new series I was watching. I just don't want him to die because I loved looking at his lovely chest and abs. All sandy and sweaty :I

Yes, yes. I'm sure he has a great personality too...

He is someone I could defiantly have tea with and complain about the weather.

And he's 6'5... A whole 5 inches taller than me.

I think we should get married and have freakishly tall British babies.

Mmmmmm, all right I'll let you have this one since he's the only one that caught your eye. But all the other sexy British men are mine. All mine! Mauhahahaha

Ok... watching Hannibal at the moment and nope... It doesn't fly with me. I have a few problems with that show. The first, is a taste preference. I don't like the actor who plays Hannibal, but I admit, he plays his role good. He's unlikable and well, it's only a matter of taste so I can understand people who don't mind. (I still think Anthony Hopkins played a better Hannibal.)
Secondly: Any other show where there is a villain like him (take the mentalist and red john for example), you always have some kind of hope that he will be caught. There's a thrill in the unknown. With Hannibal, being 'the' star of the show, you know in advance that no matter what he does, he'll never get caught. To me it kind of dull the thrill. I can't watch and think that Graham might catch on to his scheme because if he'd do, the show would end. No Hannibal, no show.
In my mind in makes for a too predictable series. I've watched almost half of the first season so far and I just can't get into it. :/

Rick Soper (RickSoper) | 169 comments I meant to say ok C.G. I have argue that Hannibal is actually one of the most visually stunning shows on TV. I've read all the Harris books, and seen all the Hopkins movies, as well as Michael Mann's Manhunter, and I think this show has successfully taken Harris' original concepts and characters and bent them far enough into a different direction to create a very compelling storyline that is being shot and directed with incredible visual brilliance. There are occasions when the show pushes the bounds of believability in showing mass killings like the human cross last season and the human "paint swatch" in the farm silo this season because there are more people than have been involved than with any series killer in history (unless you count Stalin or Jonestown). So in those instances the show goes a little over the top. But still it's wonderfully acted, brilliantly shot, and greatly scripted which makes it one of my favorites on TV right now.

Oh... And by the way Hannibal will get caught, and he will go to jail. That's where all the books start, with him already in jail, and I don't think they're going to stray that far off the original story.

Claire (cycraw) | 278 comments @G.G, I have to agree. I really wanted to like the series, but it just doesn't sit right with me. I don't actually remember making a decision to stop watching, it just kind of happened.

I only watch Hannibal now because I like Mads Mikkelsen's scenes immensly. It's this thing I have with Scandinavians.

It is very well done. But I got terribly bored by the end of the first season. And I can't understand why they insisted on mixing poor actors with really amazing ones. It really reminds me it's on the TV and not a film.

Oh and I'm watching that True Detectives at the moment. I can't figure out if I liked it. Totally bummed that Boardwalk Empire has been cancelled though. I've really enjoyed that.

Barry | 9 comments Well, I made the mistake of watching the new 24 the other night, despite never having seen an episode. Needless to say, I'm hooked and see myself spending at least the next few weeks watching the old episodes. I had no idea how well done this show was.
